Order of the Black Oath

Hello, and welcome to one of the last updates of the year! Can't believe it's December already... How have you all been? I'm in high spirits because Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne is doing pretty well on Kickstarter. I cannot wait to finally publish the game, especially knowing that I'm goin

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was incredibly busy since I was trying really hard to wrap up Under Ashen Skies (at least the artless version) and getting ready for the launch of Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne this Wednesday. I'm a bit scared cause there are tons of cool KS campa

Hello, everyone. How was your weekend? I spent it working and playing some Aventuria. I finally got the latest KS expansion so I had to try it out. It's one of my all-time favorite games, since it's just cards and requires a very minimal set up, while providing a great semi-RPG experience. Last week

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend full of games or at the very least, relaxation. Mine was fine, the issues we had with my mother in law are a bit more under control now, which allowed me to work better and even do some solo gaming! That's right, I've started a new game of Savage Wo

Hello, everyone, how are you doing? I hope you all had a great weekend. Last week was kind of tough for me, I had a lot of problems at home since my mother in law had to move in with us (she's developed some mental health issues), so it's been difficult to get things done. Still, we made decent prog

Hello, everyone! Welcome to another weekly update. Last week was pretty busy! Aside from making packages all day long (despite having all sorts of problems with wrong addresses, courier companies, and anything you can imagine), I finally managed to get Warlord Ascendant and Egrastea Reborn done! I h

Hello, everyone! How are you doing? I hope everyone's enjoying the fall, we finally have actual fall weather here in Madrid, instead of the extended summer we've had until a couple of days ago, and I'm enjoying myself before the cold mountain winter typical of Madrid arrives. I can't say it's been a

Hello, everyone! How are you doing? I'm right now waiting for the Across a Thousand Dead Worlds books to arrive. They were supposed to arrive last Friday, but you know how it goes. I'm so excited! It's going to be a lot of work shipping 900 books, but I cannot wait to start and finally be able to fu

Hello, everyone, how are you? Welcome to another weekly update. I'm afraid I don't have much to tell, because all I've done is work on Egrastea Reborn, the Broken Shores expansion. As you guys know, it takes me a really long time to work on this type of content, but I finally reached the half point

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend and had the chance to rest. I'm still not feeling 100% recovered from COVID so I didn't do anything at all, just worked and read. I did watch the first episode of The Continental, the John Wick TV show, and it was really good! If you like the films

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was spent working and resting. I got COVID last Tuesday (Tuesday night was absolutely horrendous, didn't sleep a minute because I had a panic attack caused by the fever... corona's so fun), and I'm still sick, so it hasn't been a great week. Wednesday I ac

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? I spent it working, mostly, but I did have the chance to meet some old friends on Sunday, so that was nice. This last week was one of those were you work like never before, and still feel like you haven't accomplished anything. We launched the Under Ashen Skies

Hello, everyone! How was your week? Happy Labor Day for those of you in the US! This was the return to normalcy for me, starting Friday. My gym is open once again and summer is finally over (we're having my favorite kind of weather here now, 20-25º C, cloudy and rainy). It has been a very long week

Hello, and welcome to another update! How was everyone's weekend? I just spent it working and meeting with family. We are gearing up towards the release of the Under Ashen Skies Kickstarter, and I've been really busy trying to figure out the layout while Alan finishes the text. I want this to be som

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was spent mostly working, although I did have time to continue playtesting Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne, and I'm really enjoying it! It's a game with a simple premise, but sometimes all you need is some good old dungeon crawling, wi

Hello! I hope you all had a great weekend. I celebrated my birthday and got a ton of new manga as birthday presents, haha. Looking forward to reading it! Aside from that, I spent it finally wrapping up all the gear and loot chapter for Ker Nethalas: Into the Midnight Throne, which ended up being lar

Hello, everyone, and happy birthday to me! I'm turning 43 today. I don't have anything special planned; I'll have dinner with my partner and her mother (who, coincidentally, also has her birthday today) and little else. I'm hoping next weekend I'll get to have a couple of friends over and celebrate

Hello, and welcome to another weekly update! I hope you all had a nice weekend. Last week I finally received my copy of League of Dungeoneers (a dungeon crawling game, for those of you who don't know it), and I was super excited to give it a go, so Saturday I set it all up, sat to play, and I felt s

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? I know some of you spent it playing and being busy. I myself was mostly working, but I did receive my League of Dungeoneers KS pledge so I spent a bit of time organizing it. I'm really excited to get into it! I'm scared of reading the rulebook because I don't w

Welcome to another update! I hope you all had a great weekend, mine was basically as any other. I'm trying to finish the layout for Warlord Ascendant as soon as I can so I can get the game in your hands, but since it's just tables and more tables it's going slow, as you can imagine. Even so, I think

Hello, and welcome to another update! I hope that everyone had a great weekend, mine was pretty nice, I ran some Pathfinder for the first time (it's a great system for that sort of high fantasy, World of Warcraft gameplay) and I made some great progress with my projects. On Saturday I finally finish

Welcome to another update! I hope you all had a great weekend! I spent it working as usual, but I did have time to visit my mother to celebrate my sister's birthday, so that was a nice change of pace. As you can imagine, last week has been largely focused on playtesting Warlord Ascendant, as well as

Hello, guys! How are you doing? Heat has arrived to Madrid after we had a couple of weeks of fantastic weather, so I'm already melting away. It's kind of difficult to concentrate and get anything done with the heat, and it's becoming more and more obvious that I really need AC in my apartment, but i

Hello, guys! How was your weekend? I hope you had time to play some games and relax! Mine was uneventful, I spent it the same way was the rest of the week, which is working on various projects. Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was quite fun, actually. I got to play a bit of guitar, after over half a year since I last did it; my main guitar was in a terrible state but I got a friend to fix it for me and now it's good as new. I also worked on quite a few things, as I

Hey guys! I almost forgot to post this update, I'm so busy working on stuff that it completely escaped my mind. But here I am! Hope you all had a great weekend! I tried to play some Diablo 4 because it's the only game that my partner wants to play (she's never been into gaming of any sort), but I di

Hello, everyone! Hope you had a great weekend! Mine was spent working as usual, but I did get the chance to play a bit on our D&D campaign, which is always fun. As you know, this is my first time as a player in decades, so I'm having a blast. Our GM is running a heavily homebrewed campaign and we ha

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? I had some friends over so we played Shadows of Brimstone as usual (I'm sorry, that game just never gets old, haha), and the rest of the time I spent it working. I finished writing the scenario I promised Donn Stroud for his upcoming game Ruination Pilgrimage.

Hello, everyone, how was your weekend? today's a holiday here in Madrid, which doesn't really mean much for me since I work from home, but I will have a nice, 4 hour session of D&D later today so that's something! These last few days I've been working on a few fronts: - First and foremost, the Acros

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was spent working as usual, but I did have an epic 4 hour session for the game I'm in as a player. We're used to 1-2 hour sessions so this was great, and it allowed us to finish some ongoing exploration we had. I really missed playing RPGs in a group as a

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? I hope you all had time to rest. Mine was completely focused on Riftbreakers. As a matter of fact, the only thing I've done last week is work on the Bestiary. I'm confident I'll have it done this week, though! I still need to do a little bit more of playtesting

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? I imagine most of us had a long weekend, due to Easter, a few extra days to rest is always a good thing. Mine was spent writing as usual, but I also had the chance to meet Penny Melgarejo, since he lives nearby and it's always a fun guy to hang out with. Not on

Hello, welcome to another update! How was your weekend? Mine was super productive, I've finally finished the Bestiary for Riftbreakers! This monster just grew and grew, and it looks like Riftbreakers is going to be the largest game I've written since Across a Thousand Dead Worlds. The Bestiary alone

Hello, everyone! How was your first week of spring? it's already 20º C over here, this is the best moment of the year in Madrid. It will only last a few weeks, though, before hell arrives. I'm not sure how I survived last year, and they say this one's going to be worse, so... I need to convince my p

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend. I finally had some friends over, first time since Christmas, so it was nice to chat and play some games. Overall, it's been a weekend of resting, more than I'm used to. That doesn't mean I haven't done any work, but certainly less than I would have

Hello, everyone! How was your weekend? Mine was spent working as usual, but I did get the chance to play D&D as a PLAYER! I haven't played an RPG as a player since the early 2000s, so this was a huge deal for me. It was actually a bit difficult not to take control of the situation all the time, haha

Hello, and welcome to another update! How was everyone's weekend? I spent it working as usual, but we did manage to continue our online D&D campaign, and it's being super fun. Hello, everyone! How are you doing? I hope you all had a great weekend! I spent mine sick, again. I honestly don't know what to do anymore, I've never been sick for this long; I get okay for a week, I think it's over, and then it starts all over again: throat pain, coughing, fever, the whole thing.

The good thing about it
