Update - 27/03/2023
Hello, everyone! How was your first week of spring? it's already 20º C over here, this is the best moment of the year in Madrid. It will only last a few weeks, though, before hell arrives. I'm not sure how I survived last year, and they say this one's going to be worse, so... I need to convince my partner to move to the coast, this is inhumane.
Weather aside, it's been a great week. It really looks like Across a Thousand Dead Worlds is finally done, we are just having some strange glitch that is causing two pages from the almost 500 that the book has to export as low res for some reason. But once that's fixed, it will finally go to backers (and Master Patrons). I'm really excited!
I've also been really busy with Riftbreakers, as you would expect, both trying to finish the Bestiary chapter (over 10K words already, and I'm at 50%, so this chapter alone is going to be over 20K words...), and working on the layout. I've just finished three chapters of the book and it's already 100 pages, so I suspect this "small side project" is going to end up being 300 pages long. Like I said before, though, most of it is tables of skills and items and monsters, the actual rules are simple and pretty streamlined. I'm still hoping it will be done by the end of April, but I still need to playtest it, so if I encounter some problems it might end up being delayed. I need to get the balance right!
I also finished the "St. Katharin's Monastery" adventure site for Sacrifice, so expect it to pop over here any moment now! This would later be released as part of the first issue of Demonic, the official Sacrifice zine. Here's one of the illustrations that ORB made for it!
So this week I'll keep working on Riftbreakers, to see if I finally manage to finish the Bestiary (not sure I will, though, it's just so much work), and little else. I have an idea for a small (haha) new game, something completely different from what I've done so far, so I might get a bit distracted by that, but I'll really try not to. I don't even know if I'd be able to make it cause it's closer to a boardgame than an RPG, but we'll see.
Have a great week!
