Update - 19/12/2022
Hello guys, how's everyone doing? This is the last update before Christmas, so I hope you guys have a great time and get lots of gifts! I'll be spending the 25th with some family, as usual, and then during the night we have a big Shadows of Brimstone game planned with friends, looking forward to it! It's been months since I've played anything face to face. Or at all, now that I think about it...
So as expected, this week I've been super focused on both Path of the Aram Thyr and Godshard. The layout for Path is almost complete, and although it pains me not to show it to you guys with all the art, at least you'll be able to give it a go and let me know if I should change or fix anything. I'm super happy with the game, it's looking great and it feels pretty different from other stuff out there. I really think you're going to like it! As for Godshard, it's coming along super nicely and I'll be done with the writing before the year's end. That means that I'll be able to share it with you guys in January! I'm working with a bunch of illustrators this time (I love having a single person working on all the art, but not everyone's as fast as ORB is with Sacrifice), because I don't want to delay Godshard only due to the art taking long, which is exactly what's happening with Path... Speaking of Sacrifice, I'm SUPER tempted to release a Tomb Robber starting occupation pamphlet, I've had the idea for a while and yesterday I had some new ideas for it so I know it would be really cool. The only thing stopping me from doing so it's the stupid pamphlet format itself, I hate making those things, haha. I might just make a one-page thing and call it a day...
Another week without Across a Thousand Dead Worlds. Phil told me yesterday that he only has a few guns left to assemble for the gear section, so we still have more waiting to do... It really sucks, but I can't do anything about it, I'm afraid. Even if I write him daily, it doesn't seem to help much. I guess I'm going to have to post another KS update saying we must wait... I really thought we could have it ready for the holidays, but doesn't seem likely.
I keep rejecting collaborations from amazing creators like Alan Bahr, Ahimsa Kerp, Donn Stroud, or Drew Cochran lately. I feel super honored that people want to work with me (especially creators that I admire!), but my life's a bit of a mess right now and I feel I only have the mental strength to focus on my own stuff. It takes quite a lot of focus for me to work on anything so I simply cannot commit to someone else's project because then it would feel like a job, instead of something fun. I don't want to end up getting burned out from working on RPG stuff so that's why I'm choosing to work on the projects I feel like I can at the moment, instead of forcing myself. Yeah, each project has parts I dread working on, as you know, but if I'm heated up about the project I can push through the boring parts. On the other hand, it's probably a bit stupid of me not to accept any commissions because I'm super broke right now and I could use the cash, but I don't think I would be able to bring my A game to someone else's projects; or rather, if I focus my attention on someone else's project, my own work would suffer, and right now my priority is finishing the things I have in a way that I can feel proud about them. So far it's working though, I can't wait to share Path and Godshard!
So after this little rant or whatever you want to call it, I wish you all a great week! Talk to you soon!

It sounds like a difficult balance, between avoiding burnout and accepting commissions and collaborations. You're extremely passionate and obviously care about your work a lot, and what you said about finishing things in a way you can feel proud of them resonates deeply with me, and I think many others, too. You definitely got this - I'm sure you'll see the light at the end of the tunnel soon!
I really appreciate your kind words, thank you so much for your encouragement!
