Update - 12/12/2022

Hello guys, how was everyone's weekend? Mine was spent writing, so it was quite productive! I've been sick for two weeks, which is absolutely crazy for me since I rarely get sick, and it never lasts more than a couple of days. This year's flu is brutal! I'm still coughing but it's mostly over. The "good" thing is that I haven't been able to do anything (I've even skipped my daily boxing sessions, which is something I hate doing) so I've just been writing like a madman. This means that I've done great progress with Godshard! I just need to finish the magic chapter, and then work on the gear and loot and bestiary chapters, and the game will be done! I can't wait to share it with you guys, it will be ready in January, for sure!

I've also continued working on the layout for Path of the Aram Thyr, and I am so happy with how it's turning out. This is going to be a beautiful book! And much larger than I expected, I'm thinking well over 100 pages, for sure.

I've also been spinning around for a while with the idea of how it's the best way to implement companions in Empire Undying, and I think I've found a cool way to do so! I have very ambitious plans for the crew and "guild" management aspect in EU, with you hiring NPCs to send on missions (explore dungeons, maybe commit a felony or two), and taking them with you to help you. The problem is that they can quickly become cumbersome for a solo player, having to manage several characters. So aside from having the option of using them with a minimalist stat block, I think that each one of them will grant a unique ability or power that you can use, by spending resources. It's all very early stages, but I think it can be cool, almost like a trinket that you can take with you, more than a fleshed out character. We'll see!

It's also been a great week because the studio finally finished mastering my latest album for At the altar of the Horned God, my main music project nowadays. I'm super happy with the result, I think it sounds amazing! The label seems to love it as well, so that's a good sign. I don't know how many of you like strange, atmospheric metal but I'm attaching a song here for you guys to check out, in case you're curious. Exclusive world preview for you guys!

This week I'll continue my work with Godshard, and Path of the Aram Thyr. Speaking of Path, I forgot to mention that Glynn Seal should have his three regional maps ready this week, so I'll share them with you guys next week! It's been fun working on those, I wish I had more time to draw maps because it's cool, although a lot of work. The only ones I ever published were the ones I made for Disciples, but those turned out good, if I may say so myself, haha.
