Update - 13/11/2023

Hello, everyone! I hope you all had a nice weekend full of games or at the very least, relaxation. Mine was fine, the issues we had with my mother in law are a bit more under control now, which allowed me to work better and even do some solo gaming! That's right, I've started a new game of Savage Worlds. It's been my first solo session (other than when I playtest my own games) in over a year, so it was great. I absolutely love Savage Worlds and it works really nicely solo. I'm just doing a fantasy sandbox hexcrawl, just wandering around and seeing what I run into. So far so good! Who knows when I'll be able to continue, hopefully next weekend...

I've also done a lot of packaging, as expected (I think we'll be done with the Across a Thousand Dead Worlds backer shipments this week!), and worked on the layout for Under Ashen Skies. It's looking really nice so far, but I'm surprised by the fact that I'm managing to stuff so much content in so few pages. It is true that originally the book was intended to be 6x9", so with the change to 7x10" I've gained a bit of page space, but I still thought we would at the very least reach 200 pages. Now I'm not so sure! And we haven't cut any content from it, so yeah, really weird. I'm usually good at calculating this sort of thing because I do it all the time. I guess it doesn't matter, all I'm worried about is backers thinking we are cheating them somehow. 

Last week marked the release of Warlord Ascendant! So far everyone seems to love it, and I'm super happy about it. I really need the game to do well because I went a bit overboard with the art and spent more than I should... You guys know how I am, I'm a sucker for good art and I hate having to sacrifice that. I'm still very far from covering expenses, but I think it will happen in a couple of months or so. I have more ideas for the game, so I really hope people like it so I can justify supporting it with more releases! It has certainly made me reach a new audience, judging by the fact that we got three new Order members this week (hello and welcome!). I'm considering adding Warlord Ascendant content to Demonic, although I'm not sure how much overlap there is between both audiences, so maybe it isn't a good idea. We'll see!

This week I'll try very hard to wrap up the ATDW Kickstarter shipments and start with the pre-orders. I will also do my best to continue writing the Arcanist Starting Occupation for Sacrifice. The rules are all laid out, I just need to add the Incantations and Rituals, and it's good to go. I hope I can add something else to this month's Patreon rewards, cause it feels a bit light compared to other months. I know it's not realistic to pretend to have a fully finished RPG for you guys every month, but I've more or less managed lately, so I hope this isn't a let down.
