Update - 26/06/2023

Hello, guys! How are you doing? Heat has arrived to Madrid after we had a couple of weeks of fantastic weather, so I'm already melting away. It's kind of difficult to concentrate and get anything done with the heat, and it's becoming more and more obvious that I really need AC in my apartment, but it's super expensive to set up so I haven't been able to afford it yet.

That doesn't mean I haven't kept myself busy! These last days I've focused a lot on playtesting Warlord Ascendant, and playing a bit of Broken Shores to test the couple of new things I've worked on for the upcoming expansion. Warlord Ascendant is working beautifully so far, so I'm going to start adding the missing enemy warband stats so I can finally wrap it up. Broken Shores remains fun to play around with, and I was super lucky with my new character: I, again, found an island in the first damn ocean hex I explored, haha. My character itself is pretty mediocre (had quite crappy stat rolls), but so far it's all working out well. So far the Egrastea Reborn expansion has new combat rules (built on top of the existing ones, so all that changes is the resolution procedure, no added crunch or complexity), new conditions, and a new rarity system for spells, as well as 10 new spells. I've also written a bit about the House of Egress, which are at the center of this new expansion, and next I need to start writing the real content of the book, which is a hexcrawl. It's going to be really fun!

I've also wrapped up Diabolic, the Sacrifice zine, so you guys will be getting it any moment now. I think it looks fantastic and it's a great addition to the game. I suspect the new Akelian Wardancer occupation is going to be a popular one!

Last but not least, Leo and I have been trying to get a hold of Phil, but he seems to have blocked us. I'm giving him until Friday to reappear or he's out of the project; we just lost 2 more months waiting for him to finish the corrections and we got nothing. It's going to be a nightmare to work as a forensic editor trying to find out what he fixed and what he didn't to see what's left for us to fix (or rather Leo or someone else I hire because I honestly do not know how to work on the printer specifications). This has been a shitshow for over a year now, and it has to end, one way or another.

So this week I'll keep working on Warlord Ascendant and the new Broken Shores expansion, and little else. I hope you all have a great week!
