hey team! let's get September's update off before it gets any deeper into October. PROGRESS REPORT I am... between things at the moment. went to visit friends and family in California for the second half of September, and did not manage to get the Patreon relaunch video complete. at the point where

hey team! PROGRESS REPORT next video is the public quantifica post that also functions as a Patreon relaunch. I'm listing it here as 20% because that's usually what is meant by "script locked, no audio or video editing has commenced." that may not be fully accurate in this case, as these videos tend

One of the videos I am proudest of. Studio Ghibli got this taken down from YouTube and I am no longer on Nebula, so I'm hosting it here as a free post for anyone who wants to see and share it. If you ever need a version you can embed, here's a Vimeo link. Anything else that gets taken down or has to

A recreation of the keynote I delivered at my 40th Birthday PowerPoint Party. A series of infodumps about poetic meter, in which I sing, play guitar, and embarrass myself a little. Please enjoy! Consider backing if you would like more shenanigans like this.

hey team! I'm about to post a couple of former Nebula exclusives here as free posts. they are both things you already have access to, but I want to make fresh, un-paywalled landing pages for them. do not be confused by things you already have showing up in your notifications! -I

SUP NERDS PROGRESS REPORT John Wick: With the Animals is officially live! Ad revenue is going in escrow while YouTube determined whether or not I have to split it with MASTER BOOT RECORD for using their song in the intro, but the more aggressive claim from Lionsgate was released pretty quickly once

Here is the complete John Wick video. My preliminary upload got the most aggressive copyright claim of my entire career*, so this may be the only available version for a hot minute. Hey team! Another 10 minutes of the John Wick video, even-more-loosely centered around the second film. Enjoy! -I

Hey team! I've decided to share the John Wick video with you in pieces as it nears completion. Here are the first 15 minutes, structured mostly-but-not-exclusively around the first film. I'm calling this "slightly rough" because it is the revised script, final audio, completed graphics, but there ar

We are BACK, my children. PROGRESS REPORT As of yesterday, the final script revisions on John Wick: With the Animals are complete. Revisions were more intensive than usual, as I wrote this in chunks similar to a guide to flaming out with no real plan for what order things were gonna go in. But this

Hey team! Been a minute. Let's get you up-to-speed: Leaving Nebula As of last Tuesday, I am no longer on Nebula. This was my own decision, not coming from pressure from the platform. (If Nebula had any problems with me, I certainly never knew it!) Nebula is a great place full of amazing people, and

hey team! April's minimix is here. quantifica will officially resume in June. thank you for your patience, I've had a lot going on this year, but, for better and worse, it has finally settled. I am currently editing the John Wick video. recently wrote a short review of Signs of the Sojourner and a l

Hey team! Been a minute. Let me get y'all up to date. As of today, all three parts of the Adventure Game Tier List have been compiled and put up on YouTube. They are doing far, far weaker numbers than my usual stuff, and only one got a sponsor, so this project has made me a lot less money than expec

this is the credits sequence I just made for the Nebula release of Protagony: Gordon. the version on YouTube will have a sponsor read, so I wanted to make sure you saw this nonsense. this is meant to be the final piece of A Guide to Flaming Out, though there is one remaining bit I haven't edited yet. feels weird to send the conclusion when an earlier piece isn't finished, but I need to film some stuff by hand for that and I'm editing from the library today, so. had to go with wh

hey team! here is the video about "what twelve means." currently for your eyes only - the version that goes up on Nebula will have some audio leveling and proper end credits, but I wanted to get this version off to y'all early. :) ironing out sponsorships for the supercuts and the next Protagony, no

We have an edit! Co-edited with Marceline of Mars in Theory. Still needs a credits sequence before submitting for sponsors, but here it is for y'all! Script was on the shelf for... two years? Criminy. Feels good to make something again.

Hey team, Happy new year. We've survived the holidays, exited 2025, and I have had another birthday. I wish I could say something optimistic, about the coming year being better, but I can't say that with much conviction. I can say we all have the opportunity to become better, and meet the coming yea

patreon told me I could publish that post while the video was still processing and then just ate the video, I'm reuploading it now, plz stand by

hey team, you're actually getting the conclusion a few days before it goes up on Nebula. with the holidays and all, we took a little extra time with it. it's currently queued for Monday, but I thought I'd go ahead and let you see it. it comes after a run of four games I love, and "fawning appreciati

Hey team, A proper update, after some time. Hope you are well. PROGRESS REPORT I buried the lede on this: I have officially decided I am not quitting YouTube. this is a first chunk. I do not currently know: how many chunks there will be (I'm penciling in "21" but it may be much fewer) how long it will take to finish (I'm penciling in "December 8th" as a deadline but I'm already behind) whether this will ever be made public (probably? but maybe not) whethe

hey team, here is this month's quantifica. keeping it brief again, still dealing with a lot. there will be a video this month, and it will... well, not exactly explain things but at least illuminate you a little. not sure when/if it will be public, it will start as an exclusive and we'll go from the

it is with a great sadness that, by decree of algorithmic randomness, Kill List, She Is Conann, and Possessor have been removed from the Film Randomizer List. by democratic process, they have been replaced with I Saw the TV Glow, The Death of Stalin, and KPop Demon Hunters. the updated Randomizer Li

y'all who've been here a while know this has been kicking around. there's maybe a third of a script for this ethical exploration of the MCU's depiction of Captain America, which may or may not be presented as a sermon (it is) and may or may not discuss how Steve Rogers would deal with The Trolley Pr
