(belated) June WIP: a homily for Steve Rogers
y'all who've been here a while know this has been kicking around. there's maybe a third of a script for this ethical exploration of the MCU's depiction of Captain America, which may or may not be presented as a sermon (it is) and may or may not discuss how Steve Rogers would deal with The Trolley Problem (it does). this sample starts a few paragraphs into the draft that exists now.

I love the keen insight into character this is and how how it really gets to the heart of who he is and why the people who make "good soldiers" are rarely good people.

Feige. I dunno if that's how you pronounce his name, I've heard it a few different ways.
I could subsist entirely on close readings of superheroes, and this is great so far.
Dammit Ian. I'm commenting here because I'd be writing the same thing on all 3 of your previews but you're a goddamned genius. I could listen to your thoughts and writing endlessly. Your delivery is perfectly emotionally toned, your prose is exquisite, and you produce just the right amount of snark. Keep going, dude. These are gold.
