Major Mod Updates + Patch 1.128.90

Hey everyone!

All of my mods remain compatible with the latest patch, but I have a big batch of updates for existing mods today, including some highly requested features! These updates are backwards compatible with the previous patch, so you do not need to update your game right away in order to use them.

This post is coming a little later than I expected, but I’ve been working on finalizing these updates pretty much all day and night, so I’m very happy to finally get them out to you.

Here’s the quick rundown:

Jealousy Reactions & Fixes has been extensively rebuilt, with more reliable reactions, major fixes for the Jealous trait, and Open Love Life integration.
Refreshed Moodlet Panel now has a full options menu with customizable styles, layouts, grouping behavior, and more.
Interests has expanded TV, movie, holiday, and social behavior based on Sims’ interests.
Shower Tweaks now includes smarter dresser selection and rolls the former WetFX add-on directly into the main mod.
Jealousy Reactions & Fixes, Deeper Friendship, Interests, and Shower Tweaks no longer require Lot 51 Core Library and now run on their own scripts.
Character Values Overhaul, Screen Reader, More Romance Styles, Romance Success Tweaks, TS3 Social Context, and Tribes have also received compatibility updates or smaller additions.

Jealousy Reactions & Fixes

Lot 51 Core Library is no longer required. Jealousy Reactions & Fixes now runs on its own script. Keep the ts4script file no more than one folder deep in your Mods folder.

🔧 Jealousy reactions are now more consistent and better integrated throughout the game

Rebuilt the mod behind the scenes so jealousy reactions trigger much more consistently. This fixes several edge cases, including Sims failing to react when they should, reacting to another couple’s flirt, and confrontations targeting the wrong Sim.
Confrontations are now tied to the exact flirt the watcher witnessed.
The mod’s jealousy rules now override the game’s default test so everything stays in sync.
- Matching EA’s default, Sims can become jealous at 30 romance.
- The threshold increases to 40 for Sims with Commitment Issues, Emotional Control, Unfaithful, or Kuttoe’s Stoic trait.
- Jealous Sims, Sims with Uncontrolled Emotion, and teens react at 20 romance or higher.
- Any official romantic relationship counts regardless of romance score.
Romantic jealousy reactions now have a two-hour cooldown per Sim.
Friendship loss with the participant Sim now scales based on how close they were, ranging from -20 up to -50 for best friends.
Jealous Sims no longer use the game’s built-in shortcut reaction. Instead, they go through the mod’s full reaction system like everyone else.

✨ EA's Jealous trait has been fixed and now has smarter relationship checks

Jealous Sims no longer get Jealous Pangs when their partner chats with a relative, an in-law, a child or teen, or someone of a gender the partner is not attracted to.
Group conversations now check every Sim involved instead of only the first person the partner spoke to.
Jealous Pangs now require a meaningful romantic connection to the Sim doing the talking.
- This includes a partner, fiancé, spouse, WooHoo partner
- It can also be triggered by 30+ romance paired with a crush, Fated Mates, an enamored sentiment, or a Very Attracted relationship from Lovestruck or TURBODRIVER’s mods.
The Jealous trait’s other effects, including feeling Confident near a partner, Tense while apart, and reactions to flirting and kissing, are unchanged.

✨ Lumpinou's Open Love Life relationships now integrate with my jealousy reactions

Triad members now count as partners when reacting to outside flirts.
Triad members never trigger jealousy against one another.
Approved side partners are exempt from jealousy in both directions.

Refreshed Moodlet Panel

✨ You can now double-click any moodlet to open the new Moodlet Panel Options dialog.

Changes apply instantly and are saved with your game options, so your preferences carry across saves and sessions. The dialog is translated into all 18 supported game languages.

✨ TV viewing now reflects Sims’ interests

Channels matching a Sim’s interests are ten times as likely to be chosen.
Channels matching a disinterest will almost never be chosen.
Sims can autonomously choose from the full TV channel list
- Previously, the autonomous Watch TV interaction pulled from a short, fixed channel list that was never updated as new packs were released. Sims can now choose from the same full selection available in the Watch Channel menu, allowing pack-specific channels to appear naturally during autonomous viewing.

✨ Movies now reflect Sims’ interests

Movie Hangout Stuff titles are now selected based on Sims’ interests rather than completely at random.

✨ Holiday traditions now reflect Sims’ interests

Sims love traditions that match their interests and ignore traditions that match a disinterest.
This supports every tradition and all of MissyHissy’s custom holiday traditions.

🔧 Interest-based conversations are now more consistent

Talking about a topic with a Sim who shares that interest provides a consistent bonus.
Talking about a topic they dislike provides a consistent penalty.

🔧 Pie menu cleanup

Interest-related interactions now appear a bit less frequently on the front page of the pie menu.

Shower Tweaks

Lot 51 Core Library is no longer required. Shower Tweaks now runs on its own script. Keep the ts4script file no more than one folder deep in your Mods folder.

✨ Sims wearing a towel now use smarter dresser selection before getting dressed.

First, they look for a dresser in the room containing their assigned bed.
If none is available, they check their partner’s bedroom if their partner lives on the lot.
Next, they look for a dresser in a room without an assigned bed.
Finally, they fall back to any available dresser.
Sims now only consider changing on the spot when no dresser is available.

🔧 Improved Wicked Whims compatibility

While Shower Tweaks is installed, Wicked Whims’ per-Sim “Use Towel After Bathing” option is turned off.
Shower Tweaks handles towel behavior for all Sims Child and up.

✨ The WetFX add-on has been retired and rolled into the main Shower Tweaks module.

Every shower and bath now leaves the Sim wet! Wet Sims display a visible dripping effect for 10 in-game minutes, or until they change out of their towel.
Wet Sims can leave puddles behind while walking. Children and Slob Sims are more likely to drip. Neat Sims are less likely to drip.
Sims with the Waterproof trait, Servos, skeletons, and ghosts remain dry.

Deeper Friendship

Lot 51 Core Library is no longer required. Deeper Friendship now runs on its own script. Keep the ts4script file no more than one folder deep in your Mods folder.

✨ Deeper Friendship’s relationship bits are now recognized throughout the game.

These checks now apply to systems such as Close-Knit and People Person Lifestyles, aspirations, whims, club rules, Sim filters, relationship decay, and more.
They also apply to tuning added by other mods.

🔧 The Long Term Building Add-On has been reworked behind the scenes to function more reliably without relying on tuning overrides.

Character Values Overhaul

✨ Character Value traits now grant their hidden autonomy drive directly.

In an unmodded game, only Sims who earned the trait through gameplay received this autonomy drive.

Screen Reader

Updated for game version 1.128.90.
UI Cheats compatibility file will be updated once UI Cheats has been updated.

A larger update is in the works that will make the mod much more keyboard-friendly. Please bear with me while I continue refining it. I’m hoping to release it soon, but it has taken a lot of work to get right.
