Ever think it’s weird how your Sims change into their clothes right after getting out of the shower? Well, fear not! With this mod, your Sims will now change into a towel first. You’ll then have a few Sim minutes to have your Sims brush their teeth, gussy up, flirt, and whatever else you want them to do before they autonomously seek out a dresser to change out of it.
This mod is inspired by (and conflicts with) Scanner's Towel after shower mod, but it does a few things differently.
What This Mod Does
Sims Now Change Into Towels: Sims aged Child and up will automatically change into a towel after taking a shower or bath.
Sims Won’t Stay in Towels for Long: Sims will quickly look for a dresser after bathing. They first look for one in the room containing their assigned bed. If none is available, they check their partner’s bedroom if their partner lives on the lot, then a room without an assigned bed, and finally any available dresser. Sims will only consider changing on the spot if no dresser is available.
Sims Will Dress for the Occasion: After bathing, Sims will consider their location, the outside temperature, and the time of day when choosing an outfit. For example, Sims at home in the evening will change into Sleepwear, while those experiencing summer heat will opt for Hot Weather attire.
Shower WooHoo That Makes Sense: Sims who engage in Shower WooHoo (or Try for Baby) will now receive a boost to their hygiene, which wasn’t the case before. Sims will also strip down to their birthday suits before entering the shower together and change into towels upon exiting. Shower WooHoo requires Discover University.
Sims Get Wet After Bathing: Every shower and bath leaves the Sim visibly wet for 10 in-game minutes, or until they change out of their towel.
Wet Sims Can Leave Puddles: Wet Sims have a chance to leave puddles behind while walking. Children and Slob Sims are more likely to drip, while Neat Sims are less likely to. Sims with the Waterproof trait, Servos, skeletons, and ghosts remain dry.
📝 Note: Similar to Scanner's mod, towel changes in this mod won't generate laundry piles.
Compatibility
This mod is compatible with Wicked Whims, but overrides its Use Towel After Bathing and Stop Using Towel After Bathing interactions. While Shower Tweaks is installed, those interactions are disabled, and Shower Tweaks handles towel behavior for all Sims aged Child and up instead.

Hi, I installed the new version of this mod, and now every time I load into a house, I get this last exception. I've turned off the towel feature in the WW settings, and I'm still getting this LE. Can you please advise me on how to fix this? I would really appreciate it. Hey, simply redownload the mod. I had to hotfix this issue yesterday. You most likely installed the version before the hot fix.

Hi! I love this mod. I am curious if there is a way to choose the specific dresser a Sim uses to change out of their towel? For example, if a Sim's room is upstairs and the bathroom is downstairs, but someone else's room is closer, I'd prefer my Sim to go to her room and use her dresser to change.

Hello :) I would like to give a little feedback / request. When in an Onsen Bathouse lot, sims will autonomously shower before entering the hot spring's water. With your mod, they'll shower, change to towel, go change to everyday/cold outfit at the closest locker, then move to the water, change to swimming outfit, and finally enter ! So, could you please possibly add an exception for onsen bathouse lots, so sims will basically just to shower > spring water ? :D Thx ♥

Wonderful Whims didn't have a towel system at the time. Not sure if it does or not yet, but it'd be the same for both.
does this conflict with home and land co by simrealist?
are the laundry piles completely gone or can they still generate?
the laundry piles don't generate for the shower towels, they still generate for everything else
Hi! First off I just wanted to say I absolutely love this mod (and all your other mods to be honest 😂). I had a quick question - is it intentional that sims change into a one-piece swimsuit when they step into the shower? It’s always the same one-piece style, regardless of the sim's gender, just in randomly selected colours and patterns each time a sim showers.
I've updated the mod, please redownload! I believe the issue was related to mislabeled CC. The mod was looking to generate a bathing outfit when the Sims shower, and was probably pulling the one-piece swimsuit as it was labeled as valid for bathing. It should no longer do this.

I’d like to ask about compatibility with another mod: Sims Change Outfit When Hot Or Cold by sims4me Since both mods change outfits based on temperature, is there any conflict after a shower (for example, the towel outfit vs. automatic hot/cold outfit change)? Are they safe to use together? Thanks in advance!
Hello I use both mods myself, and i dont think there is any incompatibility, they dont use the same "method"
I've been using this mod for a long time now, but when I was playing yesterday, I noticed child sims suddenly started wearing EA shoes when they change into their towel after showering/bathing. This doesn't happen to adult sims (I'm assuming it doesn't for teens). I don't know how to fix this since it's not mistagged CC that I can quickly batch fix. If it were just flip flops, I could ignore it, but I've gotten knee high winter boots and it's quite jarring.
Hello Tyjokr :) There is an annoying autonomy behavior in sims 4 that makes sims prefer bathing over showering (i even think they will always bath if a bathtub is available) I could only find 1 mod that "fixes" this, its from bienchen (sims4me) and conflicts with this mod of yours Could you check if, maybe, you can make them compatible ? Or maybe even better, create an addon to shower tweaks that make sims prefer shower over bath ? I love this mod so much, it adds that little sprinkle of realism that I love. At any point in the future, would you consider a version where sims change into a robe? My sim likes to go outside and water her plants immediately after her morning shower, in her towel lol. I figured a robe would be less jarring. But regardless, thank you for this mod!!

Hi, when my sims gets out the shower with towel on they also have shoes on as well. Is there anything I can do?
Sounds to me like you may have bad cc that’s overriding the nude feet shoe to be an actual shoe.
Hi, I switched from Scanner's mod to this one and I like the changes you've made. But it seems like children are missing the option to "Change Out of Towel". They never seem to change out of it unless I manually change their outfit either.
