Mod Updates (August 12-15)

Edit (August 15): I accidentally bundled my old Lovestruck attraction preferences into the main package. These leftover copies could crash the traits panel in CAS.

Fixed now. Apologies for the oversight. The preferences are properly organized now so it won't happen again.

Hi everyone,

Every few months, I like to go through all of my mods and make sure I haven’t missed anything EA has added or changed in tuning. I do this with every patch, but occasionally things slip through.

Most of the updates below are small tuning additions and merges to keep my mods in parity with EA’s current files.

By the way, if you haven’t seen it yet, check out my guide on how to set up priority folders in your Mods folder.

Screen Reader

• ✨ New: Added screen reader and keyboard navigation support to the purchase picker dialogs throughout the game.

Romance Success Tweaks

• EA Merge: Proposing to a noble Sim without permission now carries the intended penalty, and the permission bonuses apply again.

• EA Merge: Small Business Fear of Being Cancelled, noble Blue Blood, the Childhood Inspiration reward, and public WooHoo scandal effects now count when attempting to pair two NPC Sims together.

• EA Merge: The noble Regal Romancer bonus now applies to phone romance.

• Changed: Sims with Commitment Issues or Irresponsible are still receptive to cheating, but no longer ignore their partner standing in the room.

• Changed: Shameless Sims are now unfazed by their partner’s presence when cheating.

• Changed: Good Sims now resist temptation alongside Loyal Sims.

Send Text Overhaul

• EA Merge: The “Yes, with friends” picker was referencing a stale filter. It now uses EA’s current filter across all 37 invite nodes.

• Changed: Playful text invites now schedule their own invites instead of using the Happy text invites.

• Changed: The Restaurant playful invite is back in rotation.

Jealousy Reactions & Fixes

• EA Merge: Sims now react to a secret lover flirting with someone else.

Deeper Friendship

• EA Merge: An Imaginary Friend’s BFF or Frenemy status now properly clears instead of becoming stuck after the friendship changes.

• EA Merge: The Dynasty “Forbidden Friends” scandal secret now properly clears when Sims stop being good friends.

• EA Merge: The Friendship Bracelet exchange picker now includes a Noble career filter.

Deeper Social Autonomy: Platonic Greetings

• EA Merge: In-laws now qualify for the family hug greeting.

Less Uncontrollable Hissing Penalty

• EA Merge: Vampire hissing is now suppressed during ballroom events.

• Updated all custom preferences’ SimData files to match the game’s current format.

  • This is mostly precautionary. If you haven’t experienced any issues with these mods (I personally haven't), you can safely skip updating them.
