Mod Updates (August 20)

Hi everyone,

A few bug fixes and small feature improvements for you today.

Autonomous Wants

• Sims no longer satisfy skill wants with bizarre out-of-context actions (such as gaining Charisma from a Jungle Adventure temple trap while not in Selvadorada).

• Fixed sims failing to route to a wanted object sitting in the household inventory.

• Fixed the tarot version of "Meet Someone New" want, which could never complete due to a conflict in EA's own tuning. "Meet Someone New" pushes now only target sims your sim hasn't actually met.

• Craft-quality wants (e.g. "craft an excellent item") now treat cooking as a last resort: only when no other craft station is available and only if the sim is actually hungry. Wants specifically about cooking are unaffected.

• Three wants that previously only completed through manual play now get autonomous pushes: Paint on Easel, Play Marbles, and Watch the Sky

• Want urgency builds slightly more slowly

Recognize as Family

• Sims no longer lose their Recognize as Family status after saving and reloading. (The Royalty & Legacy family tree update was silently removing it for sims connected through step, in-law, or distant relations.)

• Recognized family members are now treated as real family by the rest of the game, including picker filters

Screen Reader

• Household inventory items are now read cleanly

• Paintings, food, and other Sim-made items in inventory stacks now read their own names instead of the generic object name.

• Text formatting tags in item names and notifications are no longer read aloud.
