<Lore Description>

A Ki Master is the standard terms given to those with mastery over their own Ki (sometimes also known as Qi, Chi, Reiryoku, Nen or Positive Energy), which is their own spiritual energy and lifeforce. There are multiple schools that teaches one to be a Ki Master, and most of which are situated in a decent handful of Asian countries.

In general, the entire existence of Ki is a testament to the sheer power and untapped potential of the soul. Those who are able to realise and control their Ki can perform superhuman feats, including basic superhuman strength, speed and durability. Some of them can take this even further, generating concussive blasts and weapons from their Ki alone, or use them to manipulate the very world around them. It is said that with enough comprehension over one's soul, one can even fight on the same level as Gods and Abstract Beings. Some even believe Ki Masters to be Kami in their own right. This is not entirely unfounded, as it is one of the rare few classes that allows a mortal to access Battlesuits, simple as they may be, without making a contract with a higher Daimon.

Ki users often hang in the balance between tranquility and savagery, being peaceful in one moment, then itching for a fight in the other. What's most common, however, is that most of them aren't satisfied with what have been mastered. Even for the highest masters of Ki, they feel that it is not the end of their pilgrimage, with some splintering to create more specialised Classes, that can bring their ability to use Ki to new heights.

<Class Features>

As a Ki Master, one gains the following class features, upon reaching the specified levels of proficiency in this class:

Level 1: Ten (Shroud)
- The first step in being able to utilise Ki. The user controls their aura nodes to keep their aura from leaking away from their body. This decelerates aging, and provides limited protection against physical attacks.
Level 2: Ren (Enhance) and Zetsu (Suppress)
- Ren: The main principle behind all forms of Ki attacks. The user outputs a large amount of Ki, and projects it outwards explosively, granting them enhanced strength and durability. However, initial uses of it will put a steep drain on the user's aura reserves. A side effect of using Ren is that it induces an air of unease in others, particularly non-Ki users, akin to a field of bloodlust.
- Zetsu: The main principle behind all forms of Ki-based stealth. The user closes all of their aura nodes, preventing all outflow of their Ki. This makes them undetectable (or at least hard to detect) by other Ki users, be more sensitive to Ki signatures, and enhance stamina, but in exchange makes them no stronger than a normal person.
Level 3: Gyo (Focus) and In (Conceal)
- Gyo: An advanced application of Ren. The user focuses a larger than normal portion of their Ki into one specific body part, greatly increasing its strength, but leaves the rest of the body more vulnerable. Gyo is mostly used in the eyes, to bestow the user enhanced perception.
- In: An advanced application of Zetsu. Renders the user's Ki imperceptible, even to other Ki users, effectively concealing it. Additionally, it does not stop the user's Ki flow, still letting them use their strength. Can only be countered by Gyo.
Level 4: Shu (Enfold)
- An advanced application of Gyo. The user enshrouds an object they are holding with their Ki, strengthening and protecting it. This lets the user wield weapons without breaking them easily.
Level 5: En (Circle)
- An advanced application of Ten and Ren. The user extends their Ren over a wider area than normal, then uses Ten to contain and give shape to said aura. With En, one can sense anything within their field of Ki. However, a downside to this is that it is extremely tiring to use, particularly for beginners.
Level 6: Go (Roar)
- A combination of Zetsu and Ren. The user initially draws their Ki in with Zetsu, and then quickly releases it out explosively using Ren at the moment of impact, resulting in an explosive boost in the user's physical abilities and techniques, more so than Ren by itself. However, it can sometimes prove self-destructive for the user should they use it too many times.
Level 7: Ko (Temper)
- A combination of Ten, Go and Gyo. The user makes one body part extremely powerful and durable, in exchange for leaving the other body parts unprotected. Alleviates some of the weaknesses presented by Go.
Level 8: Ryu (Flow)
- The mastered form of Gyo. The user is able to adjust their offensive and defensive Ki more fluidly, letting them freely alternate their wanted level of strength and protection throughout their body.
Level 9: Yoroi (Armor)
- The mastered form of Ren. By condensing and shaping their Ren to a small barrier throughout their body, the user can wrap themselves in a thin "bodysuit" made of Ki. Upon successful manifestation, the user is granted the strength, speed and durability of Ren without the need of active maintenance, preserving their stamina for more high-level techniques.
Level 10: Meisai (Camouflage)
- The mastered form of In, from utilising some principles of Ryu. Rather than completely sealing their Ki or making it invisible, the user attunes their Ki flow to match that of their ambient environment, sinking their presence seamlessly with their surroundings. Users of Meisai are hard to perceive even by Gyo and In users.
Level 11: Saimin (Hypnosis)
- An advanced form of Gyo. The user directly focuses their Ren against a target, forcibly flooding their minds with their concentrated bloodlust. This tends to incapacitate weaker-willed opponents.
Level 12: Taiyofure (Solar Flare)
- An advanced form of En. The user briefly amasses, then releases all of their Ki in an explosive burst of light. While not potent, the blinding radiance can disorient foes, giving the user time to counter-attack. Is essentially the spiritual version of a flashbang.
Level 13: Kikoha (Energy Blast)
- An advanced form of Gyo. The user amasses the ki within their body and expels it out from their body, firing it to a target in the form of a ball. Serves as a prototype for most Emission techniques, and can be used even by non-Emitters.
Level 14: Shuto (Hand Blade)
- A combination of Kikoha and Ten. The user expels their ki into a beam but prevents full ejection, and then shapes it with Ten, creating a blade made of Ki. Serves as a prototype for most Conjuration techniques, and can be used even by non-Conjurers.
Level 15: Kiai (Fighting Spirit)
- A combination of En and Shu. The user explosively projects their En into the surrounding air and envelops said air with Shu, letting them passively generate shockwaves to blow away weaker opponents.
Level 16: Bariya (Barrier)
- A combination of Yoroi and En. The user manifests a layer of Yoroi, and then projects it outwards with En, creating an omnidirectional barrier that can ward off low-level Ki attacks from all directions.
Level 17: Shogekiha (Shockwave)
- An advanced form of Kiai. The user amasses a condensed Kiai around a body part, letting them strike opponents with enhanced power using said body part.
Level 18: Bakuhatsuha (Exploding Wave)
- An enhanced form of Shogekiha. By releasing their En at the moment of impact, the user can generate more massive and explosive shockwaves from their bodies than before.
Level 19: Kukibuyo (Air Dance)
- An advanced form of Kiai and Ren. The user uses Kiai to propel themselves in the air, and then maintains this state of propulsion using Ren, granting them a limited form of flight.
Level 20: Ki Rata
- The mastered form of Shogekiha and Bakuhatsuha, using principles of Ko. By condensing their Ki and Kiai to a small body part, such as one's fingers, one is able to generate extremely powerful shockwaves, ones potent enough to level cities.
