Magic Series: Ten Supreme Fundamentals

<Lore Description>

Supreme Emitters are an advanced class of Emitters, who practice the art of Supreme Emission, one of the Ten Supreme Fundamentals. This art combines together Emission with Divination, Manipulation, Enhancement and Transmutation, and as with the other Supreme Fundamentals, is powered by a dark-purple ki known as Supreme Ki, or Haki.

The abilities of Supreme Emission is divided into three core principles: Busoshoku (Colour of Armaments), Kenbunshoku (Colour of Observation) and Haoshoku (Colour of the Supreme King). Busoshoku allows the user to strengthen their bodies and weapons in various ways, while Kenbunshoku is lets one improve their senses and instincts. Haoshoku is the hardest to master, but also the mightiest of the three main Principles, allowing the user to control others, and potentially even the world with their Haki. With these three principles mastered, Supreme Emission becomes greatly versatile in direct combat, being suited for both close-quarter duels and massive wars.

The greatest of the Supreme Emitters are said to be able to rival Divine Beasts, sometimes even besting them in battle. Perhaps due to this notoriety, coupled with the fact that it is particularly easy to both teach and learn compared to the other Supreme Fundamentals, Supreme Emission stands out amongst the Supreme Fundamentals as being particularly commonplace and widely used. It is also because of this fact, that there is often a misconception held by many, that Supreme Emission is the only form of Haki known to exist.

<Class Features>

As a Supreme Emitter, one gains the following class features, upon reaching the specified levels of proficiency in this class:

  • Level 1: Busoshoku (Hardening)

    • The most basic technique of Busoshoku. The user infuses a body part with Haki, hardening it and strengthening it in both offense and defense. Additionally, this Hardening can nullify the incorporeality of intangible or elemental beings, allowing the user to harm such beings with their strikes. To other Ki users, this Hardening is indicated by a dark purple coating on the body part. Non-Ki users, on the other hand, see merely a faint glow.

  • Level 2: Busoshoku (Imbuement)

    • An extension to Hardening. The user uses Hardening on their weapons, giving it the same boost as that would be on their bodies, that being heightened power and durability. Weapons infused with Hardening possess the same black coating as would a body part.

  • Level 3: Kenbunshoku (Sensing)

    • The most basic technique of Kenbunshoku. The user is now passively able to sense the presence of others, along with their strength levels, emotions and intent. The last one also grants the user minor precognition in battle.

  • Level 4: Kenbunshoku (Future Vision)

    • An extension to Sensing. The user's ability to sense intent becomes refined, allowing them to near-accurately see a short period into the future. However, much focus is needed, and the visions are not always absolute, especially should the user interfere.

  • Level 5: Haoshoku (Domination)

    • The most basic technique of Haoshoku. The user can passively emanate their willpower across distances, allowing them to dominate the psyche of others and intimidate them. At this stage, Haoshoku has no direct combat use, merely a small deterrent to discourage enemies from battle.

  • Level 6: Busoshoku (Completeness)

    • An extension to Hardening. The user fully coats their body with Haki, greatly augmenting their defense and offense more than that of regular Hardening. In exchange, however, the user's Haki reserves will burn out faster.

  • Level 7: Busoshoku (Defense)

    • An evolution to Hardening, and a focused version of Completeness. The user goes beyond merely coating a body part with Haki, but also its internal bones, muscles and organs, granting far greater defense than standard Hardening. However, just like Completeness, it heavily drains the user's Haki reserves.

  • Level 8: Kenbunshoku (Decision)

    • An evolution to Sensing. The user applies their Kenbunshoku on senses other than sight, enabling them to obtain different forms of sensory information that is unavailable through merely enhanced sight. For example, using Kenbunshoku on the ears grants limited telepathy and illusion sense.

  • Level 9: Kenbunshoku (Egoism)

    • An evolution to Decision. The user shifts their Kenbunshoku into an aura coat that surrounds their body, causing their senses to be compressed and heightened even further. In addition, this aura coat also allows the body to be reactively influenced by what they sense, granting the user a limited form of Autopilot.

  • Level 10: Haoshoku (Incapacitation) and Haoshoku (Observation Killing)

    • Incapacitation: An advanced Haoshoku technique, focusing on "extending" one's will. The user fully exerts their willpower, overpowering the will of those around them and knocking them unconscious.

    • Observation Killing: An advanced Haoshoku technique, focusing on "suppressing" one's will. The user retreats their willpower within themselves, negating the opponent's ability to perceive their actions with Kenbunshoku or any other Clairvoyance-based Abilities.

  • Level 11: Busoshoku (Emission)

    • An advanced Busoshoku technique. The user lets their Haki flow out from a part of their body, usually their palms, emitting it over a short distance and creating a small invisible burst, that knocks back anything that contacts it with great force. The force generated from Emission is greater than that of Hardening.

  • Level 12: Busoshoku (Internal Destruction)

    • An extension to Emission. By having their emitted Haki flow into a target's body, they can destroy it from the inside out, causing heavy internal damage.

  • Level 13: Kenbunshoku (God's Eye) and Kenbunshoku (Shadow Trace)

    • God's Eye: An extension to Egoism. While in the state of Egoism, the user observes the air currents around them, and attunes themselves to the winds. Subsequently, they gain the ability to sense things through their disturbances and fluctuations, letting them "see" beyond what their eyes perceive.

    • Shadow Trace: An extension to Egoism. While in the state of Egoism, the user observes, and attunes themselves to an opponent's shadow. This allows them to trace the marked opponent's moves from their shadow, letting them know their precise movements at all times, and react accordingly.

  • Level 14: Kenbunshoku (Absolute Territory) and Kenbunshoku (Branching Path)

    • Absolute Territory: The perfected form of Egoism. The user extends the reach of their Kenbunshoku aura coat, creating a tangible domain around themselves which amplifies their sensory perception, letting them detect any motion within its range instantaneously.

    • Branching Path: The perfected form of Future Vision. The user's Future Vision extends to various possibilities, letting them evaluate multiple futures at once, going beyond merely seeing what is about to happen, but also possible reactions and their subsequent consequences.

  • Level 15: Haoshoku (Infusion)

    • An advanced Haoshoku technique. The user is able to infuse their willpower into their attacks, in a similar vein to Busoshoku's Hardening, greatly augmenting its power. This power is denoted by a surge of black lightning that surrounds the infused body part or weapon. Aside from heightened power, this Infusion also lets the user harm immortals, by disrupting their longevity and regeneration.

  • Level 16: Busoshoku (Explosive Force)

    • The perfected form of Emission. The user emits their Haki in quick compressions and subsequent explosive bursts, increasing the power of the emitted Haki blast.

  • Level 17: Busoshoku (Vibration)

    • An extension to Explosive Force. The user narrows and firms the Haki emitted, causing their emitted Haki to generate heavy and high-frequency vibrations upon contact. This obliterates the struck target on a molecular level.

  • Level 18: Kenbunshoku (Soul Echo)

    • An inversion to Future Vision. The user touches an object and focuses their Kenbunshoku, allowing them to sense the residual intent and emotions imprinted onto the object in the past, and subsequently extract knowledge and insight left behind by those who interacted with it. The longer or more frequently the object has been exposed to strong emotions and sentiment, the clearer and more detailed the residue becomes.

  • Level 19: Kenbunshoku (Augurium)

    • An extension to Soul Echo. The user focuses their mind on an individual or an event, letting them foresee into the target's far future, scrying their possible fate and outcome.

  • Level 20: Haoshoku (Knot Tying)

    • An extension to Infusion. The user can infuse a concentrated amount of Willpower into a tied knot, and store it for later use. To utilise this stored Willpower, the user unties the knot, re-absorbing the stored Willpower.
