Sorcery Series: Disaster Elements
Magic Tier: I (Base) | I+ (Full Potential)
Magic Type: Universal
<Description>
The Disaster Elements are the Cursed Energy counterparts to the Nine Elemental Magicks. Similar to standard Elemental Magicks, they revolve around the creation, and manipulation of elements. However, they are powered by Cursed Energy instead of Ki.
In comparison to their traditional counterparts, the Disaster Elements can be said to have traded off power for diversity. While lacking in raw firepower compared to their regular counterparts, the user's general scope of abilities, the range of what they are able to do with their powers, is much, much greater.
Just like their positive counterparts, developing the Disaster Elements from traditional Sorcery is a matter of Affinity. Not everyone can obtain it, and to do so is mainly a matter of chance. However, in a similar vein to how their positive counterparts work, a Sorceror's Affinity for a Disaster Element is correlated to the environment they were born in. Though instead of being in the presence of natural elements, it is the fear of said Element from the folks inhabiting the area.
<Universal Forms>
Awakened Form - Maximum: Extension techniques that realise the greatest potential of their derived Cursed Technique, without the need of a Simple Domain. They are the most supreme art for Cursed Technique wielders outside of Domain Expansion. However, they burn quite a hefty amount of Cursed Energy. Upgrades to the Maximum revolve around modifying the various abilities for more powerful effects.
Super Awakened Form - Expanded Domain: Expanded Domains are the pinnacle of any Cursed Technique. An Expanded Domain is created from infusing a Simple Domain with the user's Innate Cursed Technique, in this case the Disaster Element. This alters their technique to be sure-hit in nature, on top of boosting their output by 20%. Upgrades to the Expanded Domain revolve around altering the Barrier's properties, to make the overall Domain more effective.
<List of Disaster Elements>
Disaster Winds: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Air Magic. This ability allows the user to generate, and manipulate strong winds to blow away, cut and crush opponents.
Hurricane: The Maximum of Disaster Winds. The user creates a condensed Hurricane that turns in both ways at once, allowing it to destroy and shred apart anything in its path.
Accelerating Skyline: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Winds. This Expanded Domain takes the form of a sky that is constantly cycling through night and day, which by nature causes opponents to constantly fall endlessly unless they have a way of flight. In the Domain, the user has absolute control over the sky, wind and clouds, and are able to fly.
Disaster Grounds: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Earth Magic. This ability allows the user to generate, shape and manipulate earth and soil for varying purposes.
Kaname-ishi: The Maximum of Disaster Grounds. The user rapidly compresses large amounts of earth beneath their feet and infuses them with CE, creating dense boulders above the ground which are then launched in an omnidirectional radius. These boulders explode into fragments, and said fragments can further splinter into even more smaller fragments, creating an omnidirectional burst of projectiles that are near-impossible to dodge.
Onogoro Island: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Grounds. This Expanded Domain takes the form of an island surrounded by an endless sea. The user has full control over the rocks and stone on this island, and the island also constantly replenishes the user's CE.
Disaster Flames: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Fire Magic. This ability allows the user to create and manipulate flames and lava. These flames and lava can be generated not just by hand, but telepathically, where the user can activate their abilities directly on, or near a target.
Meteor: The Maximum of Disaster Flames. The user creates a gigantic flaming sphere from surrounding debris, that can be hurled at a targeted area, causing immense destruction at ground zero.
Coffin of the Iron Mountain: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Flames. This Expanded Domain takes the form of the interior of an active volcano, where its ambient heat burns up most average opponents. On top of that, the user can command molten rock to pelt their opponents with. Naturally, the user is immune to their own heat inside the Expanded Domain.
Disaster Luminescence: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Light Magic. This ability allows the user to generate, and manipulate Ghost Light, the supernatural light responsible for phenomena like Ball Lightning.
Will-O-The-Wisp: The Maximum of Disaster Luminescence. The user is able to become one with the bright light that exists at the edge of death, allowing them to become a living gate of the afterlife. As a gate, they generate a strong light that devours the souls of anyone caught within it, which then become converted to the user's CE reserves. However, this technique has a high risk to it, where the user's own soul will also be devoured, if they were to run out of CE when the technique is activated.
False Light Empyrean: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Luminescence. This Expanded Domain takes the form of a forest under the night sky. In this forest, Wisps roam the area, plaguing the opponents in the Domain with illusions. In addition, those who fall to the user in this Domain also have their souls drained and turned to CE.
Disaster Thunder: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Lightning Magic. This ability allows the user to generate and manipulate electricity of all types.
Storm Cloud: The Maximum of Disaster Thunder. The user generates a storm cloud covering at least 30 meters, which lets off tons of lightning bolts, all of which have minor homing properties.
Sparks High: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Thunder. This Expanded Domain takes the form of a sky without a ground, such that opponents will constantly fall endlessly unless they have a way of flight. The sure-hit takes the form of homing lightning strikes, that are constantly hailing down from above.
Disaster Metal: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Metal Magic. This ability allows the user to create and manipulate Disaster Metal, a purplish liquid metal whose attributes, like viscosity, shape, sharpness, hardness and durability can freely be adjusted. This Metal can even be transmuted into a Non-Newtonian Fluid.
Regal Armor: The Maximum of Disaster Metal. The user encases themselves in their own Disaster Metal, generating a suit of armour that grants increased speed and strength, and the power of flight.
Realm of Forged Nobility: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Metal. This Expanded Domain takes the form of a castle made of Disaster Metal, all of which is free for the user to control.
Disaster Shadows: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Shadow Magic. This ability allows the user to create Shikigami (10 in total) out of their shadows, each with differing abilities. The user is also able to hide within shadows, and store items within their own shadow.
Chimeric Totality: The Maximum of Disaster Shadow. The user fuses together their 10 Shikigami into a single Chimera, one with all of their abilities, and none of their weaknesses.
Chimera Shadow Garden: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Shadow. This Expanded Domain takes the form of a sea of darkness. Within this pool, the ten Shikigami can be summoned from any area, and the user can also create shadow clones of themselves to support and trick opponents in battle.
Disaster Tides: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Water Magic. This ability allows the user to generate, and manipulate water.
Mega Tsunami: The Maximum of Disaster Tides. The user generates a massive wave akin to a tsunami, powerful and massive enough to level entire city blocks.
Horizon of the Captivating Skandha: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Tides. This Expanded Domain takes the form of a tropical island. The Domain's sure-hit takes the form of countless fish-like Shikigami that continuously charges at and swarms targets.
Disaster Plants: The Cursed Energy counterpart to Wood Magic. This ability allows the user to generate, and manipulate Cursed Plants, demented forms of various flora and fauna, which possess a variety of effects.
Ten Branched Fusang: The Maximum of Disaster Plants. The user generates a massive fusang-shaped tree, which can spawn powerful blasts of CE from its flowers, potent enough to incinerate and level an entire building.
Shining Sea of Growing Branches: The Expanded Domain of Disaster Plants. This Expanded Domain takes the form of a massive field of flowers under a noon sun. The sun itself is the source of the sure-hit, emanating powerful rays of light that incinerates opponents. In addition, the flowers also further drain the CE of opponents, and transfers them to the user.
<Full Potential Disaster Elements>
Similar to the Second, Third and Fourth Magic Origin Forms possessed by the regular Elemental Magicks, the nine Disaster Elements also have an upgraded form, known as the Full Potential Disaster Elements. This evolution is triggered through the user fully accepting, and being engulfed by their negative emotions. This allows them to find a balance with their innate malice, and subsequently achieve a deeper understanding with the true nature of their abilities. With this new understanding, they are consequently able to use their Elemental Sorceries at their fullest potential.
