Finishing up these series of posts with the final finished art for the skateboard I was asked to paint on for an upcoming fundraiser to build a new skate park here in town. I wanted to put all my cartoon characters from my life in the mix, with the vibe of a piece of notebook paper cus that's where

Process breakdown: Design finished, added some notebook paper lines to fit the vibe I was going for. Printed the design on 5 sheets of regular computer paper and taped those together. It 95% fit on the skateboard, there were some misaligned edges here and there, but that's okay. It can be fixed in t

A design for a skateboard. I was asked by a local pal to contribute a hand-painted skateboard for a fundraiser FOR a skate-park here in the town of Easthampton Massachusetts (Where I live). I said yes. I'm not a skateboarder, never was, but I always enjoyed the art on the back of decks. So I wanted

It 'cus they be yappin' is why.

Been playing Kirby Air Riders and got me reminiscing about Marx and Galactic Nova from the Kirby series. So I made GRANDMA look like the original SNES version of GN. They both kinda got the same deal, too. Well, it was fun to draw, that's all that matters. Happy Turkey Day (if you celebrate)!

A Classic-of-Game, a-good-ol'-fashioned, Work-in-Progress, behind-the-scenes post. I've wanted to do this image since the beginning of the year, if not last year altogether. And you can see the devolution of the idea with the other images, going back to the original sketchbook doodle with just EB, C

Something I wanted to do to as a thank you to all the animators for the music video! I sent it off to the guys who organized the whole thing in hopes they'll send it along to everyone too, but might as well start postin' it myself! Y'all have at it first. Sorry about the wait for the next installmen

from Dark Souls 1 This is what motivates Cigarette every waking moment. It's rarely present in the deep deep lore of Greatures, but know this is her ultimate mission in life. Her every decision gets her one step closer to becoming a version of this NPC that invades you in the swamp level of Dark Sou

When you copy an ability in the Kirby games, it usually shows you a fun little square icon in the game HUD to show you what you got. These are taken from multiple games and are just ones I liked the look of. THEY ARE, starting from the top left: BOMB, FIREBALL, CRASH, FIGHTER, HAMMER, and JET. This

I've added four new important members of the cast to the character's page, along with some write-ups about them. Here are the portraits in full. The Wizard's is referenced on the "Middle-Earth quest book/Pondering my orb" meme. And the Stranger's is in reference to the "Neighborhood Watch" symbol yo

Wish you were here.

Had a patron ask about clean art of the band Nuclear Bubble Wrap's album "PROBLEM ATTIC" that I did the cover and gatefold for. So I put these together for said patron. AND SAID PATRON had the idea to put these out officially on here for everyone else, so why the hell not. Here's some nice, big imag

Well, it's for something I've had a hand in making with some other talented folk you may have heard of. Maybe you will like it or maybe your eyes will fall out of their head if you hear about it. Either way, I feel good about doing this piece and so do my colleagues! So I'm postin' it! The project t

Here's some pics and shots of some things I've been working on in the background. Nothing substantial to show off yet. But I am writing the next Cultists! and want to get on that ASAP. Don't wanna let the momentum die on it! Don't let 'em say I ain't not ever working, even with a new fun video game

had a tickle to make a new header! sort of the new vibe going forward with FOA and the comic in the new year. here it is in a public post if you want a closer look at it. That's all!

keeping busy on a monday with a public post. will this change the social media landscape? will we find dry land again? watercolor and ink.

Went to go see Neil last week around here in Massachusetts. Seeing him doing his thing live is a hoot and a holler. I had to draw him and his many drinks. Figured I'd share these little drawings on here for y'all first instead of the filthy outsiders. Enjoy edit: i let the unwashed masses have at it

FOLKS WE GOT A COVER. Plus a fun illustration for the book. The book is 95% ready. Waiting on a sick back cover from a guest illustrator and then I can put all the extra crud on it: ISBN, urls, etc. We will be doing a crowd-funding campaign thru TopatoGO as well, to gauge interest. Personally, I'm f

patreon's own Allan requested some wild dudes being wild for a tattoo commission. turns out, that's my bread and butter! So I took some classic losers from my sketchbook and churned this out. a regular stooge-a-thon.

Got a new scanner and am going to scan a bunch of SOMETHING to SHOW you. for now, here's a copic marker drawing. For Fun!

The final title and framed piece for the art show. A thank you to Jeffrey Rowland for using a jigsaw cutter to dangerously cut a slit in the top of the frame for the sword to poke out of.

A piece I’m doing for a local art show put together by a tattoo parlor and comics shop. Called “Heroes and Villains”, they asked artists to draw their favorite hero or villain from comics. I immediately chose Guts from Berserk, as it was the one year anniversary of Kentaro Miura’s passing when I was

A drawing in procreate, so I can just simply make this post letting y’all know it might be a little slim this week on comics! My mother is visiting and I gotta be a good little boy and hang out with mom!!! That’s all, I’ll post again when I got something for ya!

unrelated drawings and doodles and concepts for a couple of fun nintendo sixty four games about mystical ninjas. there is no other reason for these concepts and drawings other than I enjoyed the games as a kid. certainly nothing came from these when drawn a couple years ago for no reason. no reason

had some down time to pursue a small idea. something that could grow bigger but isn’t ready. but drawing always helps me figure these little guys out. tried coloring with real media as well. mostly brush ink pens and copic markers. that’s all, something extra for ya today.

This is my work for today. Working on little drawings for show pitches for my licensing agent to shop around! Trying to get people on board with your work BEFORE you have something to show them is a new step in my brain I've not truly made before. It's hard to grok what's in my mind, even for me. Co

Hello everyone. Been a minute! I'm loathe to admit that my attention has been eaten up by video games, but it's true. Elden Ring put a dent in my brain that is hard to pop out. On top of that, I've been working with getting a licensing agent to help out with "This is Fine" and my other I.P. to licen

Just a commission to share of the band "The Aquabats!" Love those crime-fighters.

Back home again and just letting the Sunday wash over me. Just been playing more Mother 2 also known ass (AKA) Earthbound. It’s the Mother 2 Perfect Edition rom, if ya interested. This is just nice to get back into the habit of drawing as I get back to work tomorrow. Still drawn in procreate on an i

hello!! i am still away from things in the far off state of oklahoma. but i return this weekend and will be back at it again. during this downtime i’ve written something for a new series i’d like to attempt, answered emails, and have been playing a port of mother 2 (aka earthbound) that has edited b

Coloring and finishing the yossy comic kinda got outta hand. Just sorta dropped it on y'all without talkin. February always makes me feel weird. Anyway, here's the site. All in one location for ya. And to me that begs the question: What about sharing with others? I've always liked that about the int

Had a recent commission to draw some of the half-life garden gnome, specifically from the WayneRadioTV run of "Half-Life: Alyx but the Gnome is too aware" series. Drew it organically with REAL INK and even got sexy with it using some leftover physical halftones I bought years ago. Came out crunchy,

Hello again. I guess I actually am not going to fly back to Oklahoma for Christmas. As C*vid gets worse, and mixed with high-traffic-holiday travel, I felt too unsafe to fly back. My family agreed, but it still weighs on me, and will continue to weigh on me in the coming new year. So, maybe you'll g

spent the day digitally painting some family portraits of my family for xhrist mas. don't tell em!!! done in CSP with just the "Oil Paint Flat Brush".

Been doin' a bit for October Inking and Halloween and Inktober or whatever you wanna call it. Just something to do for the spooky season. Started drawing weird versions of Nicktoons and now it's become a thing where I've been making them different forms of Yokai. Here's three more I just finished. C

This was the album cover mentioned a bit ago. For a guy who writes music as "SA-20." I discovered them on Bandcamp and really fell in love with their album "NO REFUNDS" . It was one of those earworm albums I could listen to from beginning to end and come back to over and over. That's rare for me, so

Welcome to the new week, bubbies. Here are some chapter drawings for the next BACK book, which is what I will be focusing on this week. Getting it touched up and ready for a kickstarter. I like choosing one specific item (or bug) in each chapter to draw myself. Something that may seem important for

something i've had kicking around as a design idea for a while. this is the closest I've gotten it to look like how I thought, so I'm going for it and trying to see if we can get a shirt going. s'been a while.

they call him the "blue bomber" so why isn't that his name???? This is a commission of Megaman, using inks, hands, and copic markers. Done on a sketch cover of the 1st issue of the Megaman Megamix comic from Udon. I had nothing to do with the comic, but the person who commissioned me didn't care, ju

Continuing my descent into Official Mario Art, here's some more copic and inking practice going from super mario land to mario 3 to super mario world.

just for fun. not really anything for something i'm working on in relation to a new venture with an already established comic company or whatever. heh. foolish to think it might be...

A tattoo commission I was very happy with. Maybe I'll do more Art in 2021. Maybe. Done in CSP.

How many times have I drawn this setting? I can't really recall nor do I want to go counting. But I'm drawing it again for a new collaboration with another artist to make a new thing for people to purchase. I shouldn't say any further, but I can at least share with you that I'm doing some new art fo

A while back I got some copic markers to try to draw more on paper with and study color that way. A while back I got a big book of Mario art from Dark Horse that had great old illustrations from each mario game (up to 2017). Just the other day, I dusted both the markers and the book off and decided

I have been doing not much else this week besides writing and drawing the next pages of BACK (which I will share with you here) so here's something else: This was a little card drawn with copic markers for my nephew's birthday. I've been told he has taken a liking to watching sports with his father.

You saw a couple of these here and there, but they're finished! these are backgrounds for a small animated project I am collaborating on with friends Lindsay and Alex Small-Butera. It's a simple thing and I think you'll like it and that's all I'm going to say for now!!!!!! Enjoy my final foray into

jeez, about a year ago I got really into doom/doom2 when they ported them in unity to the switch/ps4/etc. Had an idea for a zine that would include drawings of doom AND wolfenstein sprites. Those plans got waylaid in early 2020 for some reason. And I almost forgot I already posted the wolfenstein on

One last page of the tama-tamas I was doing for brush pen practice. These were all drawn in 1"x1" squares with a pentel brush pen. Just getting the hang of it again. Good practice.

use them as icons or avvys if you wish. I don't care! I drew them for you!!!! i see one more page of tamagotchis in your future.... for I am a soothsayer!!!!!!

barring any changes, and adding the tracklist/barcode/record info on the back cover, I feel I am done with this album art finally. Nice to have that over with for the most part, phew. I have some ideas for a comic this week, but it remains to be seen if I will get around to it. I kinda wanna redo th
