Skateboard design, part 1
A design for a skateboard. I was asked by a local pal to contribute a hand-painted skateboard for a fundraiser FOR a skate-park here in the town of Easthampton Massachusetts (Where I live). I said yes.
I'm not a skateboarder, never was, but I always enjoyed the art on the back of decks. So I wanted to try my hand at something like what I remember being wowed by as a kid. I'm a drawer, a doodler, so my idea was to fill it with all the comic characters I've made in my time. From Junior High age to 39 years old, this deck contains some of my first comic characters I scanned and pasted online. Gave them all the same weird smile and eyes too. Cus they all love me and love you and love the skateboarder, I guess.
This is part one, cus now I gotta transfer this drawing to a real skateboard. Paint and everything. I'll have more process images as I progress.

I woulda stared at this for hours. I feel like Question Hound should be in color. Or maybe not him, but a pop to two of color would be potent. Or maybe not.
Holy hell, is that Sinister and Evil
oh man, this looks so good. a skateboard deck is too on my “gotta put something on that” list
giving them all the same expression is such a good bit. funny but sinister
