Introducing the Feral Elves
As we announced in our latest roadmap in 2024 we are embarked in a new visual and artistic journey in Patreon where we are developing new fantasy races and miniatures to grant you a deeper knowledge of the art and style behind the future fantasy races and a bigger voice in the design process before the time arrives to select the future fantasy races that will come to Highlands Miniatures.
We previously announced the concept art for the Aegean Elves, a mighty and majestic fantasy race, and the Sons of Marduk, our future evil dwarfs. Today we will introduce the Feral Elves, the second fantasy elf race.
The Feral Elves gather inspiration from Tolkien and his vision of the Silvan Elves from Lothlorien and Mirkwood, magnificently represented by Peter Jackson, Alan Lee and John Howe in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit.
As some of you may remember, we already designed a concept miniature for the Feral Elves back in 2023 for the previous fantasy poll. We have keep some of the design aspects of that miniature and bring new others to create a more fantasy-like miniature.

As a Dark Elf fan I really hope you consider them as a range. Cannot find good Dark Elves anywhere. Can find plenty of feral/forest/wood elves already.
Yes, I like the LOTR style, without them being like the GW LOTR minis.
As someone looking to build a Sylvan Kin list, I'm excited. How big will the range be?
Oh my word! A Bretonian Proxy army and A feral wood dwelling elf army in that order....I am drooling as these are 2 of my favourite armies! Chaos being my 3rd and oh my goodness, if you design a Chaos force....I'd most likely have to mop my floor on a regular basis.
Amazing idea! As said by others, a dragon would be amazing to hold in ones hand, but that seems like a huge task haha
Good job, I love making different armies and being able to play various games
dragon as the finale!?
each month the quality increases - you are doing a superb job here!
Nice! Can't wait to see what your version of Dryads look like.
When will the fantasy fillers campaign be launching….. need more Knightly heroes!

My only issue here, and this complaint is quite honestly only half hearted. Is that they look very very much like another set of wood elves done a long time ago by someone who once did a good fantasy miniature game. I would personally be very pleased to own these. However I would also be open to another interpretation of wood elves with more LOTRs elements, or even a different direction entirely.
They look so great Oo. Really hope that one of the two Elven Armys will win the pool.
Awesome as always. When will we see the updated road map?
Thank you Michael! We will post the poll to select the future fantasy races coming to Highlands Miniatures in a couple of weeks. At that point we will also publish a small roadmap to cover the summer months!
These look absolutely excellent! Some wild sprites/spirits would definitely add some wild character and flavour.
Great job Ramon, elves in ur style are something that I was looking for on the internet for years without success. Keep them coming ;-)
I need it!!! I need it!!! I need it!!! I need it!!! I need it!!! I need it!!! I need it!!!
💚💚💚💚
I love these. They look fantastic. I can't wait to see what else the feral elves have in store for us. Amazing
Glad you like them Grant! Hopefully we will see more of them if patrons vote for Feral Elves in the upcoming poll to select the future fantasy races coming to Highlands Miniatures!
Love these. If you could take a short peek at the OPR army books and maybe give us see if there are quick wins when it comes to weapons for compatability, that would increase my love even more.
Glad you like them Lenard! 💚 We will take a look at it for sure!
Will there be more troops from the dead dune kingdoms in the second part of the year?
Yes! The Eternal Dynasties will be back this Summer 2024 :)
Those are a great start to a set, I was just thinking the other day I'd love to see some more elves done in your style
Glad you like them Maxim! We hope to see the Feral Elves and the Aegean Elves ranking top on the upcoming fantasy poll to select the future fantasy races coming to Highlands Miniatures in the future!
Oh they look fantastic! Any time frame on when these will be released? I am currently working on my Wood Elf/Sylvan army and was wondering.
Glad you like them! Next month we will publish a poll for you guys to vote your favourite fantasy races, and the ones with more votes will be sculpted starting in September 2024 and onwards.
Nice, very nice. I lacked wood elves done as normal elves that went wild and feral in the woods. I always thought GW's 7ed release nailed this feel and I think you may have done as well. Please consider adding little forest spirit touches to them, GW's wood elves did that superb, and that was only made better with sylvaneth
Glad youl ike them! Bringing tiny forest spirits and creatures could be a very nice touch to decorate bases!
These are okay, but I would have preferred 5th-edition style, only not sucking as those did.
Excellent concept models, can't wait to get my hands on them for various war games and RPGs!
Glad you like them Tony!!
Ace liking the leafs 🍃 and wood feel can defo spice up the painting. Some vines would be great aswell. Will look super forward. Great start. Maybe some fur on others I don't ask alot lol. I'm hyped for these. Great stuff.
Glad you like them Steff! 💚💚
Love these!

I adore your work, and these are some interesting designs as always:-) My two cents; Personally i would drop the breast plate and leather straps on the archer and go full leaf shaped scale mail shirt, maybe with a large leaf shaped metal/leather/bone plate over the center chest. I think it would fit the aesthetic better, make them slightly less "fantasy armor looking" and allow a painter to paint it as more traditional armor (leather/metal), or woodland material (bone, wood, leaves etc) as camouflage. Either way great models!
Glad you like them Jared and thank you for the suggestions! 💚 PD: The breast armour of the Feral Archer is mean to be leather.
Wooooooo!
💚💚
They look really fabulous! I'm really happy to support you from the very beginning. Can't wait to see these elves!
Thank you for the support Stephane!
Hyyyyppppeeeee

These look so great, i cant wait to paint these guys up!
Glad you like them!
Absolutely beautiful. Cannot wait to see each of these races fully realized
Glad you like them Joshua! Having the time to sculpt freely concept miniatures for all these fantasy races really help us a lot to define the future of these miniatures.
They look awesome! Can't wait to use them in TOW and Mordheim, Frostgrave!
Glad you like them! Hopefully we will see them at some point in 2024 or 2025!
Right in my heart ❤️ !!!! Looooove them!
Glad you like them Luis!
