In January 15th we introduced Fantasy Fillers, a limited set of Fantasy Fillers for a selection of your favourite Highlands Miniatures fantasy armies.
After further consideration and due to the amount of work required to fill several fantasy races at once, we decided to limit the campaign to one of our favourite fantasy races: Gallia.
We aim to go live with this Frontier campaign at some point in the following weeks after sculpting and printing the core set of miniatures for this Frontier campaign. The unlockable set of miniatures will be sculpted during the campaign while being unlocked.
What's included in Fillers and Heroes: Gallia
Our goal is to complete our Gallia range of miniatures with a limited set of fantasy hero miniatures, new basic and elite miniatures and a limited set of fantasy fillers.
The core set of miniatures for this Frontier campaign will include:
Five (5) Gallia fantasy fillers (50x75)
One (1) Mounted Gallia Battle Standard Bearer
One (1) Dismounted Gallia Battle Standard Bearer
One (1) Sir Bruce, Duke of Gallia on horse
One (1) Sir Jaume, Duke of Gallia on horse
One (1) Sir Lancelot, High Duke of Gallia on pegasus
For the unlockable set of miniatures or stretch goals, there will be an interesting variety of miniatures and fillers. For example, by supporting this Frontier campaign you will be able to unlock:
One (1) Gallia Cleric with relic
One (1) Small Medieval Post (25x25)
One (1) Man-at-arm with hunting dog (25x50)
One (1) Dismounted Duke
One (1) Gallia Bombard
Three (3) Gallia Bombard Crew
One (1) Gallia Bombard on Chariot
One (1) Gallia Giant
Four (4) Gallia Shooters: Handgunners
Four (4) Gallia Shooters: Crossbowmen
Three (3) Gallia Shooters: Command Group
There will be more unlockable miniatures, so stay tuned the following weeks for more information about this campaign.

The duke on Pegasus is AMAZING!! is the head detachable? If it's not, please please please do that so we can put a helmet on him <3

Nice work ! Take your time, but I really hope you'll end up tackling factions like Sunland, the Undead vampires or the Orcs & Goblins, especially for heroes !

Beautiful! Can't wait to pledge! Question about the standard bearer helmet, I'm such a fan, will it be possible to have it in bitz detached from the rest of the body too please? I've been looking for a jousting helmet like this for a while now for my stormcast eternals paladin conversions and this one is perfect! Thanks in advance, if possible of course! :)

Glad you like them Benjamin! About your question, the current helmet comes as one piece with the upper chest protection, so in that current form it can't be modular. But it could be nice to cut it in half and leave only the helmet itself in order to be used with the Knights of Gallia, so we may be able to do it!

You do you! A better scaled project leads to greater results! Small request if you ever tacle a Sons of Ymir Filler project : MORE DWARVEN LASSES! The female dwarfs you made are amazing and original models, I would love to have some more to incorporate into regular troops!

In the Arcane Journal of a similar range they have the 'border princes' faction which allows for the facton to have wizards and cannons. I'd love to see those included

Gorgeous models as usual :) Loving the models seen, I too would love you have a model brandishing a 2 handed sword option. I know we're all picky and you can't please everyone. We all appreciate everything you do and have done! love as always. X

A Gallia Giant? Are you revamping the old windmill model?
H
Highlands Miniatures · April 4, 2024
Just a fancy medieval giant! Taking our previous Cave Giant as a base model :)

Idea for a filler: some guys sitting on logs or rocks in a circle and having a good time drinking, maybe playing dice or cooking something in a pot. Generally guys hiding behind the front ranks and having a good time not dying like good peasants should :D

That could be rad for sure!

First, that BSB is incredible! Second, I look forward to seeing more of this for the other races, especially the orcs and their mounted/chariot heroes

Glad you like them Joshua! We believe this type of campaign is great to finish fantasy races while having enough freedom and time to work on heroes and other special miniatures!

This is a separated campaign that will be available for purchase in Frontier, a MyMiniFactory pledge platform.

These all look great and honestly really smart & cool to see you specialize it. 1) gives us a much better breadth of models 2) sounds like it is much less stressful to focus rather than cover all of them 3) means we might get more of these campaigns in the future Can’t wait for the launch!

Glad you like them Dustin! That was indeed our chain of thoughts when we further thought about the campagin. It was a nice way to complete the fantasy race and can be replicated in the future for other races!

Also, maybe expand on the Robin Hood theme. Richard the Lionheart, Prince John, Sheriff of Nottingham, Maid Marion etc .
H
Highlands Miniatures · April 4, 2024
That sounds like a nice addition for the stretch goal list!

I would like to see more variety in the heroes on foot. We have the Questing Knight Hero on foot, but maybe have a royal knight hero or a generic Gallia Knight hero.

Hot damn this is great ! I love this. The shrine is awesome, almost perfect. I'll just need a way to put a "Lady of the lake" statue instead of the nun.

Glad you like them Greg! That sounds like an incredible conversion!

I was really hoping to see some armed peasants (Like Pitchforks and so on) for Gallia at some point. Still looking forward to the campaign.

Thank you Lenard! Those miniatures could be a nice addition to the unlockable miniatures list!
