Updates March 2026
In theory, most mods should remain compatible with the Marketplace patch, with the main exception being autonomy tweaks mods.
I’ve been reworking my autonomy tweaks to remove overrides and prepare updated versions for release. Maxis did adjust autonomy in this patch, but the changes are fairly limited, they’ve mostly added cooldowns and broadly injected buffs across interaction categories (e.g. computers). This doesn’t really solve the underlying issues, such as Sims using objects in inappropriate contexts (visitors jumping on PCs, Sims abandoning tasks to use computers on lots where it makes no sense).
Because of that, I’m sticking with my current approach to autonomy tuning. From what I’ve seen, meaningful improvements require actually playing and observing behavior, not just applying blanket adjustments.
I also have several unrelated updates that were held back in anticipation of this patch, which are ready to go once everything is stable.
EDIT:
There is currently a problem with launching the game with CC that I'm sure you all have encountered. Don't even bother following EA advice to go through your CC if you encounter it, the problem is not a specific package. The game crashes on launch leaving a crash report in your folder:
This report has some interesting info:
The game doesn't even enter the gameplay state, doesn't even start loading CC, it starts transitioning into loading screen but never completes the transition. It means it doesn't complete bootstrap at all, the issue is likely in the launcher before mods and CC are even registered.
My advice is to brute-force it (repeatedly click on play and ignore the error) until it loads.
UPDATED:
BG Emotional Rebalance - update notes on Curseforge
BG Painting Rebalance - update notes on Curseforge
April Patch Note
The latest patch did nothing, absolutely nothing. No changes in the XML whatsoever, no bug fixes.
They even recycled the patch notes from March:
So this is where we're at. Needless to say no changes are required to my mods so I'll keep working on the Alien mod, which is almost done and about to enter a short play testing phase.

Would it be possible for you update the Custom Degrees mod please, or at least allow us to see what skills are needed for each degree because currently they're all greyed out. My sim wants to do the vetenary degree. Thanks :)
im looking for the mod that lets you disable phone use is that one you still have up?
My game crashes only, when I start a new save. I found out one fix for that. Take everything off your Mods folder. Go to new game. Make one sim and put her/him/they on your game. Save as. Get out of your game. Put everything back on your Mods folder. Go to your game save, fix that annoying EA Sim with your cc. And start your gameplay.
I thought they were recycled patch notes at first too, but it's actually just bc console players got that update with this patch XD
I see, so we just got nothing besides more MB on the disk.
good day! First of all, I would like to express my gratitude for your hard work! I am writing about the issue of a fix for removing decorations from the facades of a building from the Vremena Goda DLS. Google gives you a link to your blog, but the keyword search failed to find anything. I found the Zero_Debug_ToggleDecorations file on content upload sites, but it doesn't work. please tell me, would you have time to update this fix? Thank you for your time.
Oh I forgot about that one, it's been giving that error for a while but then I moved it out and forgot about its existence. I’ll see to update it when I'm done with my current project.
Thanks so much for your mods! Much appreciated :-)
Is your Medieval diseases Mod still work?
hey, i am new here and i have question, is your npc role mod is working with the new update? and another question, it's makes the game to stop randomize sims into the world? i hope you understand my questions, it's not my first languege.
Assign NPC roles works with the new update and doesn't stop random Sims from being generated. There is another file attached to the same post (private filter) that is required to stop random townies
Hello! I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but your mental health mod seems to be bugged/broken. All my mods are working fine, but I found that your mod was making my UI disappear when I exit build mode. Not sure if this is an issue with the mod, or The Sims itself. Just wanted to mention it!
That mod is unsupported at the moment.
I am using your university mod and although it does show up when I do a better exceptions search it seems to be working fine.
BE can flag the package as conflicting because I add a resource to all of them to avoid too many external requirements
Thank you so much Zero! Can I ask if your Parenthood Curfew Tweaks mod is still compatible (or has it also been impacted by the autonomy changes from latest patch)?
I need to check that one still. From a purely tuning side, nothing has been changed to make it incompatible with the new patch.
Great, this means rest of your mods including "Custom University Degree" are working fine with latest patch.
Yeah provided that the game loads the packages correctly. It seems to be fixed now but who knows.
So does this mean that your mods with the one exception ARE safe to add back into the mods folder?
Everything is safe beside some packages from autonomy tweaks. Those are safe too but you'd miss the changes made by EA if you use the outdated files.
Do you plan to revisit Autonomy Toggle (as opposed to tweaks) anytime soon?
Autonomy toggle is still working as intended for me
It's good that I've changed for offline mod yesterday, I think first I'll wait for a while because I'm not in a mood right now to process this whole nonsense what EA does with this game. I'm reading everywhere that they've did this on purpose. Is this possible?
I don't think they did in on purpose but neither option is good look anyway, because if it was not done on purpose then they're just incompetent.
the update is underwhelming, they even opened a feedback channel specifically for autonomy and all they did was adding cooldowns.. this changes NOTHING to how stupid the sims behave, and it doesn't get rid of the stalling (simulation lag) either.
It's the laziest thing one can do to limit autonomy without actually jumping in game to see what people are complaining about, it's also going to make autonomy predictable like a clock cause sims are going to run for the object as soon as the buff expires.
Hi, the mod University cost more it's update? I try to find it but I can't find the mod anymore (Actually no update today my game so I can still play)

Most of the mods are broken, even skin Overlays and such. Glad to know this still works
And here I thought once they stopped with the expansion releases we'd be more stable.
We're never getting a stable game until they move on for good. And besides we don't even know if they're stopping with EPs because they change their minds on the future of this game as the wind blows... first they wanted to update the base game, then they made it into project X, then they wanted Adventure Awaits to be the last pack, then they decided to recycle stuff for a new slop EP to see how cheap they can go... the only thing they know is that they want to milk players as much as they can and the only thing they're consistent about is putting the least effort they can and breaking something with every patch.
