Temp. Fix for Romantic Interactions Autonomy (DEPRECATED - Should be fixed by Maxis)
Don't use this with Autonomous Socials, the fix is already included in that mod. Remove it when and if Maxis patches the problem.
Temp. Fix for Scandals Unlocking for Sims in a Relationship
Prevents the "witnessed scandal" sentiment from getting added to Sims that are in a relationship and engage in woohoo.
Fix For Prom not Being Added to The Calendar (DEPRECATED - Should be fixed by Maxis)
This shouldn't be required anymore as of 18/03/2026, after months the devs finally figured out how to remove a test from the dramanode. I'll leave it on for people who didn't patch.
I rolled back a test they added to prevent prom from happening for sims who graduated early that is preventing prom from happening for everybody (so it's useless because it breaks the feature entirely). The fix will take a while to work on existing saves because the node has to be re-scheduled by the game, it will work immediately on new saves:
This will likely conflict with mods that tweak the calendar so the fix is commented, you can open the file to see what I did to apply the tweak to conflicting mods that override the same resource.

I’m almost done closing the projects I had open when the latest patch dropped so I can extract the files for the new pack and dig into them.
The Gameplay Rebalance project forces me to actively play the game for extended periods, since it requires long testing sessions. That means I’m constantly exposed to small bugs and broken features I can’t ignore. I’ve been collecting them in this separate package.
This is an ongoing project that I update whenever I encounter something that doesn’t behave as it should. Individually these are minor issues, but over time they add up.
PREVIOUS FIXES
Base Game Fixes
Fixed “Cheered to Death” buff incorrectly applying to pets when interacting with cheerful Sims.
Fixed crafted gift interactions appearing on pets, which could cause animation stretching.
Seasons Fixes
Fixed Sims playing basketball in the rain repeatedly attempting to open umbrellas while routing, causing erratic movement and interaction loops.
Laundry Day Fixes
Addressed a long-standing issue where washing machines could become unusable if a non-household Sim (visitor, butler, maid, etc.) started a laundry cycle.
Root cause appears related to object states not resetting properly.
Added a new “Turn Off” interaction on washing machines:
Resets all object states to default
Restores functionality if the object becomes stuck
Businesses & Hobbies Fixes
Refined paid mentorship logic:
Fixed cases where payment would not trigger outside of small businesses
Payment handling should now function consistently across all contexts

i see you have been updating this post as time passes, but since you clearly state that we can't have this and autonomous socials, which one of these posts would you recommend? because i like the issues addressed in this post along with the autonomous socials.
Does this include the ridiculous grief interactions/ autonomy? I keep using the UI cheat to dump their grief (for a Sim/pet they met once) but it keeps coming back. Its super annoying to me.

Hi, thank you for your work! Sorry if this is a dumb question but, I’d rather ask than assume. I noticed one of your fixes for Dine Out adjusts the amount of time a chef takes to cook. I’m currently using Dine Out Reloaded; would this cause any conflict?
If it overrides the same resource, yes. Add a ! in front of the other package or put it in the overrides folder so it takes precedence on loading the game and avoids conflicts.

I want to add that i spent i cant tell how many hours trying to find what mod i use broke the prom event, finally giving up, and today notice that you made a fix that exactly repairs my problem. How much can EA break their game seriously ? So i owe you one more "thank you very much" ♥
They laundry list based on community feedback, apply some rushed "fix" on pure intuition, and then don't test it. The people working on the patches are likely not the people behind the packs they're supposed to fix so they don't know the logic behind the different systems and end up breaking what they were supposed to fix. That's the case of prom and a number of other things, the test blocking it from happening was added in a patch, I happened to have the XML from 2023 so it was easy to track what they changed and remove one test at time until it worked.
Can I just check what the Temp. Fix for Romantic Interactions Autonomy does, because I just saw someone make a fix saying that recent updates has made a bug where there is no auto romance interactions, but I'm having an issue where sims are flirting with EVERYONE and it's so annoying :(
The fix is only necessary if you have the Royalty and Legacy EP, the inLaw testset (BG update) is ignored if the sims don't have the relbit (in law) what's causing the issue is the Secret Lovers testset, which is a reference from the new pack. Your problem might either be caused by an outdated mod that overrides the autonomous romance testset (testSet_RomanceSocialsAutonomous ID 0000000000006D1E) or might be a bug caused by the absence of the reference that belongs to the new EP (if you don't have it installed) that makes the whole test be ignored.

Thank you so much for all of your amazing mods, Zero. I recently join to download your vampire mods but this one really help me out getting through crappy constant game updates so called "fixes". I tried reporting some of the bugs I encountered and got blamed for having mods installed (when I stated I also playtest it with clean savedata and no mods, yet yield the same results) I still have no idea why the constant accuse of cheating bug (from Lovestruck sh1tty feature) when no one is cheating. It's haunting me until your fixes came in and save my whole sims game (although the cheating bugs still there but the other bugs are fix perfectly). Can't thank you enough, mate. Wish you the best always!
Now there is also the scandal bug with sims getting the guilty sentiment about having a secret while in a relationship and having woohoo in their goddamn bedroom. I have a fix for the cheating, not ready for release yet... i'm stress testing it

It would make everything easier if they stopped piling up broken and badly implemented features. Everything since 2022 has been shit, made the game worse and made modders job more difficult.

I don't plan to, because I'm using the career rework for that and Maxis keeps piling up stupid careers with illogical pays.
Thanks for your work, just a small clarification. All traits persist if changed in CAS. You must first remove them with shift-click in Live Mode, and then change them using the CAS cheats.
What remains aren't the traits, it's the commodities associated with them. In case of the active one, the commodity also has a buff. That process doesn't remove left over commodities either but most have no effects because there are tests against it.

It's been there since day one. I guess it's too hard for EA to catch a bug that is so blatantly in your face, it would require testing too many combinations of basegame + dream home decorator.
