Elevation Data for Cold War Germany Theater

SRTM files for CW Germany theater by Ugra Media for use in CombatFlite

Since there's a real hype around the newly released Cold War Germany theater for DCS World by Ugra Media, I decided to invest a little time to create or gather all the files necessary to use this latest theater in CombatFlite. As for previous releases, (like the dataset for the Kola theater or Iraq theater), the .hgt files should be copy/pasted into your [...]/CombatFlite/SrtmDataFiles folder.

All the area covered by the DCS map is in high resolution SRTM (SRTM 1). If you are tight on disk space, you can search for SRTM 3 data with a lower resolution instead.

The other necessary files, like the .xml files with airfields and NAVAIDs, or the various maps, will be released when finalized. As for other theaters, as single full pack with all the necessary files will be created once everything is ready.

Note: as a reminder, all the articles about CombatFlite and associated files to build and use new theaters are stored together as a collection here.
