This is my first FOMO Unlock.

Happy At Home's rewards were unlocked for all simmers THREE (3) MONTHS after the "big fiasco" EAxis caused with their incompetence, but they unlocked it incompetently, and the "New Content" gold badge keeps reappearing on the items in CAS (or at least it used to - I haven't checked recently).

"FOMO Unlocks" don't suffer from "New Content" gold badge nonsense.

SGFX Patch archives do not contain a "#Sej" folder. These archives are tailored to match the third-party archive. In other words, if the third-party archive has folders, then the SGFX Patch archive will have the same folders.

1️⃣ EXIT the game.
2️⃣ DOWNLOAD the ZIP archive.
3️⃣ OPEN or EXTRACT the ZIP archive.
4️⃣ DRAG N' DROP or MOVE the "#Sej" folder into the following folder:
- Documents » Electronic Arts » The Sims 4 » "Mods"
5️⃣ Choose "Replace the file in the destination" if prompted to "Replace or Skip Files":
6️⃣ LAUNCH the game.

Have you noticed yet that a lot of what I do is in protest of EAxis' anti-consumer incompetence? You're probably new here, so no, you haven't.

This was FREE content and everyone should be able to enjoy it. Why bother creating something folks can't enjoy simply because you insist on implementing it poorly?

"FOMO" a.k.a. "Fear of Missing Out" content is abhorrent, but devs and publishers who do this but have at least an ounce of respect for their customers, make these items "account-bound", which means that a little hidden "flag" / "achievement" / "entitlement" (is the word EA uses IIRC) is added to the player's account, so no matter where you go or what device you use, your Special Snowflake™ content is always available to you.

EAxis took the lazy, irresponsible route, and added this "entitlement" data to the "UserSetting.ini" configuration file in your TS4 USER FOLDER.

This file can be easily lost (by just repairing the game) or corrupted, and deleting it is part of most troubleshooting tutorials.

Furthermore, console simmers have NO HOPE and NO HELP because The Sims 4 is such a mess that when it goes sideways for them, they have to reinstall the game completely, which WIPES THEIR USER DATA, INCLUDING THE "USERSETTING.INI" FILE.

EAxis knows this because console simmers have been lamenting about lost user data for years.

EAxis finally "noticed there was a problem" after THREE (3) MONTHS and they did some half-arsed bullshit to unlock the items for everyone, but during those THREE (3) MONTHS their support amounted to telling simmers that they need to backup and protect their "UserSetting.INI" file at all costs, which was not mentioned at any time before the problem of "lost rewards" started appearing.

The "Bug Report" for this issue was HUNDREDS of comments long, and for THREE (3) MONTHS, EAxis response amounted to "sorry, but the event it over."

The event is over and no one cares about your problems.

No one at EAxis cared enough about the problem they themselves created.

No one at EAxis cared enough to give any of us an actual solution that didn't sound like a slap in the face.

There were at least THREE (3) solutions:

1️⃣ EAxis can unlock the items for everyone! Heck, they could even wait a few weeks after the event is over then unlock the items for everyone. Some simmers even assumed this was the plan so that everyone could enjoy these FREE items!
2️⃣ A mod creator could mod-unlock the items! It wouldn't help console simmers, buy hay, we've gotta start somewhere, right? I'm a mod creator and I was pissed off enough to do it, and I know for a fact that other simmers know how to do it too, because I've seen those cheeky little "look at all this new stuff that's coming" posts. One of these fine days, I'll explain in detail how it's done, so you can do it for yourself when I'm gone.
3️⃣ You can simply modify your "UserSetting.INI" file to unlock the items! Other simmers had already shared this long before I took up the cause, but I didn't know. I turned to the simming community, asking anyone with the items unlocked to share their "UserSetting.INI" file with me so I could dissect it. The community responded and some hours later I had it figured out. All we had to do was add the following line of text under the "[uiaccountsettings]" section in our "UserSetting.INI" file:

That's what they couldn't tell us for THREE (3) !@#$ING MONTHS?!

EAXIS WOULD RATHER YOU SCOUR THE INTERNET LOOKING FOR "SHADY SOLUTIONS" TO PROBLEMS THEY CREATE, THAT THEY REFUSE TO FIX, THAT THEY COULD EASILY FIX, PUTTING YOU AT RISK OF MALWARE IN THE PROCESS.

How does a 42 year-old, estimated $37.68 BILLION-DOLLAR company that specializes in game development and publishing justify this nonsense?

We live in an age where we, the common folk, need to start saying the obvious out loud to these corporations because they're literally taking the piss, but also, we live in an age where "OneDrive" is auto-configured on new Windows devices and it can cause a ton of problems for games that save their "user data" to the "Documents" folder, and we live in an age where console storage is still a "closed system" that cannot be manipulated because EVERYONE IS OBSESSED WITH THE GODDAMN PIRACY, TO THE POINT THAT THEY SCREW OVER THEIR OWN LEGITIMATE CUSTOMERS in an attempt to "one-up" the pirates. -- https://../posts/99833884

Rogue TS4SCRIPT files, BATCH files, EXE files, etc., encountered where they don't belong could contain malicious PYTHON script or other !@#$ that will attempt to infect your device and steal your personal information when executed by you or the game. Malware can ruin lives. Don't !@#$ around.
