I'm going to assume that what they consider spam is my replies to simmers in the Happy At Home thread, linking them back to the comment I made in the Happy At Home thread detailing how to modify your UserSetting.ini to get back your items and telling console simmers that unless EAxis unlocks the items in a patch, they need to find them on the Gallery.

What did it say? In response to one simmer "you'll have to use the Gallery", in response to the other simmer "read my other comment here".

Other replies from other simmers to simmers reporting in this thread toe the line talking about backing up your INI and how if you don't have a backup there's nothing that can be done and maybe look Elsweyr on the internet for the "shady solutions".

THE SAME SHADY SOLUTIONS THAT EAXIS FORCES US TO USE BECAUSE THEY INSIST ON TREATING FREE FOMO CONTENT AS "TOO BAD, SO SAD, !@#$ YOU CONTENT".

You never told me I needed that file. You certainly didn't bother to tell me I needed that file on the big IN-GAME POPUP or on the TILE for the event. Was that information even on the INFO PAGE for the event?

It's not like pre-order content works like that... or does it?

EA would rather you go searching the internet for a solution to a problem they created that they can easily solve that they refuse to do anything about, putting you at risk of MALWARE.

They instead take offense to me replying to simmers and telling them how to safely get back their items in the relative safety of being on AHQ.

Nature and nurture has molded me into someone who doesn't really fit in with the "civilized" part of society that speaks in hushed tones about the bullshit we're doing to each other.

Sometimes I !@#$ up and THIS IS WHAT I GET™ (that's a stupid joke I sometimes direct at simmers when I'm helping them troubleshoot).

Of course I had to go the extra mile and say "remember who sets the deadlines, because it's not the devs!" and also, in my usual fashion, I expressed some solidarity with the simmer over the state of game, which is where the self-censoring was, IIRC.

I know what it's like to feel frustrated and alone while everyone around you pretends the !@#$ don't stink, so I validate others concerns when they're valid concerns. Sometimes all someone needs is some empathy and some !@#$ing solidarity. It has nothing to do with The Sims 4, it just so happens that EA makes us feel this way often and the toxic positivity infecting the Sims community is isolating, unhealthy and unproductive. This is who I am.

They have warned me once before about self-censoring. I truly have no one to blame but myself... and my love for the game which spans decades - I started with The Sims 2 - and Electronic Arts for being a !@#$ game publisher like Blizzard, like Activision, like Microsoft, like Gearbox, like Square Enix, like Sony, like Ubisoft, like Epic, like Konami, like everyone's darling who lied to us constantly and now gaslights us about it - CD Projekt Red.

"EA believes games are for everyone [...]" they sure do!

In fact, every !@#$ty game publisher I listed above will tell you the same thing. They believe games are for everyone, that's why companies like Blizzard and Ubisoft employ sexist, sexually abusive people who ill-treat and abuse and harass female employees into an early grave and if we, the consumers, had any compassion for other people, we'd stop rewarding these companies with "loyalty". I can't be anyone but me.

📌 WHAT HAPPENS NOW?

I continue with my projects.

• EP16's CAS Overrides have been delayed long enough. I have procrastinated long enough with The Endgame on a whole. It is indeed a daunting task fixing the unending wave of inconsistent, incorrect and improper PartFlags that we get with every content release. I know a lot of simmers don't see it and don't understand it but I do. I see it and I understand it to some extent.

• I've already rebuilt my CASMenu for Human species. I couldn't with that limited CASMenu anymore.

• Now that my sim's spine is fixed: https://www.patreon.com/posts/109088001 I really want to continue AnimXGenWear.

• I'll have to get back onto AHQ when the ban expires. I have unfinished business. The Deformer Map fix I did for spines doesn't solve the glasses problem and maybe I can still help: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Glasses-frame-distorted/m-p/13917320/highlight/true#M286218
