Dev Update - 2026/04/17
Hey everyone,
First of all, thanks to everyone who gave their opinion on the release topic. No matter what it is or what your reasons are, I appreciate every piece of feedback.
If you missed it, feel free to drop your comment.
I haven't made a decision yet and will make that when I'm closer to finishing the "non-Álfheimr" path, so there's still time to give your opinion.
Back to "normal" business - the few days with the family away from home were pretty good, and once I was back home, I went back to posing static renders and animations.
I'm almost done with Kaija's scene now - it's just missing a few more lines of script and some static renders. I hope to finish that by early next week.
The PC's will be busy rendering the animations for the rest of the time when I'm not actively working on scenes.
When I'm done with this scene, I have a scene with Fiona left to do and then the chapter endings for the "non-Álfheimr" path. There will be two of them, depending on your decisions and both have two slight variations, also depending on prior choices.
So there's still quite a bit of work left to do until I have to make "The Decision" (tm Lebron).
The numbers for this week:
117 new static renders for a total of 1293
13 new animations for a total of 37
240 new lines in the script files for a total of 3565
That's it for now, have a nice weekend, guys.
Cheers,
Ceo

I think you need to ask yourself if there is enough content to give players an emotional weight and depth to the Chapter that will feel like a satisfying playthrough for most of them, or leave them wanting if things are shortened artificially to meet an arbitrary deadline, resulting in both you and players being left unhappy. I believe you should make it in a way so that you will have no regrets.
thank you, Kai. Valid points. The non-Álfheimr playthroughs wouldn't be any shorter than with a full release.
"The Decision" (tm Lebron) - haha - i like the sound of it !!!
