The oral tradition of speaking tales around a campfire is something I've always treasured and something I do with my grandkids regularly. Sure, they get a little antsy when I start weaving in music and pyrotechnics, but that's all a part of the fun I think. There's something special in making sure that everyone gets a show. Regardless, sometimes you simply need to make sure your voice is heard and for that, I have just the most interesting little bauble for you. Take a look.

Typically I have the hardest time just getting started on an item especially if I haven't spent a significant amount of time spinning it in my head before actually opening up my Google Docs to get moving. Thankfully with this piece, it was mostly already written in my head by the time I actually sat down to type it out. It's a process I'm trying to get more consistent at in letting ideas sit in my head and start to develop more before I write. Staring at a blank page rarely gets me far.
I'm going to put both versions together in my notes for this one as they basically function the same. I knew I wanted a way to make your voice nice and loud that would allow everyone to hear it regardless of where they were in the area. In PF2E we have bullhorn, which is a lovely spell. I had to essentially rewrite it into the 5E version since nothing similar exists there.
For the final ability on this, I wanted something more combat orientated and sudden. I knew I wanted deafened on the PF2E version, but deafening someone in 5E really doesn't have the same impact as it does in PF2E, so I opted for adding a frightened component to fill out the power gap and give it some damage as well. On the PF2E side, the utility plus clumsy rounds out the support aspect nicely.
