Fence's Frock
Greetings adventurers!
I love visiting the seedier taverns of the cities around as you can always find the absolute best stuff there. Sure you risk a bar brawl or two, but if you know how to navigate the scene then you can come away with some most interesting finds at a steal of a price. I make no judgments as to how these pieces end up in those particular hands, but I am one who loves a discount. I do have to wonder about those lurking on the edges that run these networks of ill-gotten goods. You have to wonder what kind of person can have so much power and yet be so secretive.
Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, Foundry VTT modules, a filterable catalogue of all of our items, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:
The general overview for an idea on this one was an extradimensional space that would allow you to store your goods and hopefully also allow them to remain hidden from those that may try to get a bit too handsy. You can think of it as a pickpocket deterrent as well as another way to get one over on guards that may be looking for someone in possession of a specific type of item. I wanted it to be something that a fence would absolutely want to have to get around those particularly prickly situations that may involve a pat down.
This was a bit of an odd item as the design for it wasn’t that different from one system to the next. It was more about balancing the proper weights that would make things feel interesting and powerful but not have it completely replace all other storage methods that are attainable in each system. Most of my time was just spent tweaking where I thought the weight carried should fit in each system and I think that landed in a good spot. It’s probably also a good time for me to mention that I do love the Bulk rules from PF2E. They just feel really intuitive to me for inventory management.
The last little bit of magic that I wanted to throw in was making sure that this could be something that a thief would use to slip things by someone who is getting a bit too handsy. The idea of hidden pouches inside was one method that we could have used to get there, but I decided to go with an inky darkness that had to be sifted through with checks in order to find what you’re looking for, and even then you can only pull out one item. That was the special sauce that pushed the rarity up a bit and made it more of the item I imagined in my head.
It’s our last release of February and I think it was a particularly fun month of goods, even if it was a shorter one overall. We’ve got another pretty awesome collab lined up for the later half of next month that should bring you all a lot of additional content from several of our friendly creators all around one theme.
We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
