Papiette
Greetings adventurers!
I truly love the various parades and festivals that take place across these vast lands. There’s nothing more exciting to me than seeing the various sights and taking in some of the games that come along. Then there’s the little oddities, things for sale that you can’t quite find anywhere else. Things that no one else could even think of bringing to market. One such case was found when I witness an origami expert unfortunately end up next to the firespitters stall. Sure, the fire was devastating, but for one glorious moment, it provided a spark of inspiration!
Our patrons get early access to all of these items as well as additional formats that are easily usable in both physical and online play for D&D and Pathfinder 2E. Additionally they get high-res art exports, easy to use text exports, Foundry VTT modules, a filterable catalogue of all of our items, behind the scenes updates, and a lot more.

Design notes from Matthew:
Creativity is where the best part of crafting for lower levels comes in. You have to make sure to give something useful, but something that won’t outshine the new adventurers just getting their start on their adventures. In this way, a convenience item should often just handle one thing and move on from that without diving too deep into powers that go along with it. I actually ignored that a little bit this time though to keep on the theme of the item. The original idea was for a papercraft dragon that could breathe fire, but I knew there needed to be some limits.
Ultimately my choice here was to make it single use to balance out the power it presented. You don’t want someone running around at level 3 with a constant free spell slot that they can cast whenever. That would just throw a wrench into the entire works of the lower level combat system. Consumables on the other hand can be a blast to offer so long as they’re not made infinitely available.
That’s one point of balance that you always have to leave into the hands of the GMs is how available something is in their world. Some people love to have a magical shop where enough coin can buy you anything, but for me the scarcity is where the magic is. It lets people have that little taste of power that doesn’t last as long as you want.
This piece was something that was really inspired by my own hobbies of late. I’ve got into doing some papercraft here and there and I’ve been enjoying it. I wanted to let that inspiration flow into my other hobby of TTRPGs and that’s how we end up here. It’s like I always say, inspiration is everywhere if you just open your eyes to it.
We highly encourage you to join our Discord server where you’ll get access to exclusive channels that have sneak peeks, behind the scenes chatter, and more.
