I feel like increasingly over time bits about transphobia have become more and more central to the patter of KJB. Fair enough whatever direction you want to take your show in and of course it is something that affects you all, I guess for me, I listen to KJB to get away from all that shit. I’d contend there’s some slight sincerity that snuck in when Austin is catching up on all the history that’s happened he missed (fall of the Berlin Wall, moonlanding, realizing so many celebrities he knew from the 60s are dead) But even then it can’t help but crack jokes, so -shrug-
