S2E7: The Sum of All Fears
This movie boldly asks: What if a global neo-nazi cabal used a stolen israeli nuke to glass the city of Baltimore? What if CIA Analyst Jack Ryan (Slightly too young Ben Affleck) was to try to stop it?

You all should look up the femboy cheerleader yogurt commercial
The Balti-less
"I hope I look this good when I am [recovering from a nuclear explosion]" I love how Abigail is such an America-weeb that she just accepts she's going to be nuked but still wants to go there.
I have a friend who became disabled during basic training, so "moved strangely, now your back hurts forever and you cannot be in the military anymore" is something that can absolutely happen to you at a catastrophically young age.
Listening to a podcast about a movie in which neo Nazi terrorists steal an Israeli nuke while I'm in an airport feels weird, lol.
Fork me! I paused the podcast to watch the movie, (for the first time.) Me nerves. Such a good film. 🏳️⚧️
Which prime minister would be the best Bond, and which Bond would make the best Prime Minister?
What three bond characters would you want to be on a podcast about you three?
Nukes? What nukes? We have no nukes in Israel. It's a... a carpet factory. Yes. That nuclear plant shaped building is a carpet factory. Honestly. Shalom.
The first Mission Impossible movie is arguably Kill Jim Phelps, so you could stick with that for the rest of them just to keep the streak going...
It should be illegal for Abby to tease us with possibly doing the Sharpe series.
Heartbroken to inform you all as a North Carolina resident that the bomb was immediately secured and there’s just a historical plaque there now.
that's just what Abby wants you to think
I’m so fucking excited for Kung Foo Hustle, it’s such a gem
1:45 well if it helps i was thinking of startinng a pod cast... you can co host if you like ?
Big Bill Hell's finally won https://youtu.be/U1dUk8x2XkA
Really clutch Venture Bros "Russian Guyovich" ref.
"What is Xavier: Renegade Angel?" is a dangerous question and truly the most responsible answer actually is "Don't worry about it."
Keeping with the nuke theme, you guys should do a bonus ep on "By Dawn's Early Light," a movie in which James Earl Jones kamikazes an E-4 Looking Glass into Air Force One to stop a nuclear war
Imperium (2016) with Daniel Radcliffe would probably have a lot to say about masculinity, the CIA and neo-Nazis
The image of Abi digging in a field with a shovel at night while in full costume is just quite funny. And then lugging away this huge tangled lump of metal. Also: Stealth technology remains not magic
Finally, a use for my old autistic special interest. The first thing you should know about EMPs generated from nuclear explosions is that the wide area EMP is specifically caused by a very high altitude release of radiation interacting with the atmosphere. A ground detonation also causes an EMP however it's range is so small that it essentially happens inside the fireball.
The pivot to Kill John Clarke means that with the acronym being KJC they could conceivably watch The Passion of The Christ, then maybe move onto KJD
I don't think Jimmy Dean's sandwiches are *that* bad...
Man, first they start building a hydrogen bomb on Well there's your problem and now Abigail is stealing nuklear weapons. Should I be concerned about this?
I will be the one to say it, it was an A4 attack aircraft not an F-4 Fighter-Bomber.
Yeah I remember Yom Kippur war, that's dinner at my sister's house after Neilah. Edit: I was going to bed when out of nowhere it hit me, the name, Baltinomore.
I mean, I use my communist magic for mutual aid purposes, but I didn't know I could use it to get hot gossip. Does explain some things about the USSR, tho...
My only disappointment with this episode is that there was no mention of the gratuitous use of the fourth verse of the Star Spangled Banner, which I promise you almost no American had ever heard prior to the debut of this film. :) PS also something I would never expect you guys to know, but Baltimore does not and never has had a domed stadium. That was done, I presume, just to make the interior shots easier.
Abi will need to hurry up on salvaging that bomb so that she can restore the podcast balance of power with Roz and his basement hydrogen bomb.
I feel like Balti-less was a missed opportunity, loved the episode as always. You should do Sneakers for a bonus episode, it's like Ronin but for 90s yuppie white hat hackers 👍
At first I thought I was accidentally listening to a Kae Tempest song.
I love how Alice's husband has actually for real been on the podcast.
Never saw the film, but the GBA game was remarkably good for a licenced GBA game from the early 00s
