Thanks to November for the past year and a bit, I've noticed I'm starting to say "things of this nature" when I want to round off a list or make a sweeping statement of some kind. What are some quirks, habits or turns of phase you feel you've picked up from each other since you've started doing the pod?
I'm a winemaker by trade, I listen to you guys while running the vineyard, bottling the wines, etc. Tell me about some wines you like ? Or other alcohols of preference
Now Amazon own Bond, they'll presumably do spin offs, what are the funniest/weird spin offs they could do. I want to see the Dr Kauffmann story
Take any non James Bond movie, then insert James Bond as a character, which one and why. P.S I love you all
Have you ever considered reviewing new films on the pod?
Not really a Q&A question, but I'm abusing the format to ask a question posed by the (Mastodon-famous) Alice on behalf of their partner - there's, somewhere deep in the Kill James Bond! archives, an episode which uses a "She's Transsexual!" sample (possibly with a somewhat saucy intonation). Where is it from (and can she, Alice's partner, get hooked up with the source)? [Actual Q&A question posted in reply to another one here - if you were given the keys to write the script for the next James Bond movie (and there was a guarantee of no vetoing of your ideas by the execs), what would you do with the power? (or would you reject it?) ]
We of course have the promotional poster for this season, but in a heist movie, what do you think your roles would be? What would you be heisting and for what motives?
Can you please do Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare? I swear, it's a heist movie (spoilers but they steal a pretty big boat). Also, another Henry Cavill flick. Also, weird little loop back round to Fleming (boooo). Also, I really wanna know what you all think about it, I'd love to know once and for all what that movie says about masculinity and whether it's about being trans or 9/11. Please and thank you.
You said long ago the franchise you dreaded covering on the pod was the Fast and Furious. Now that it has come and gone, what other series of films are you worried about having to watch?
You have said you do not wish to analyse Indian and other films without a guest for cultural insight; that's understandable. However, why not analyse some Australian and New Zealand films; why are the French so special?
When are you going to do another My Little Pony movie, or a cute film full about Joy and the Power of Friendship that is anathema to November? You could do Fern Gully (with Tim Curry and Robin Williams). It's main character has to reconsider what it means to be a man; and it can be analysed as the conflict between the stereotypical masculine approach of "cut it all down" and the feminine approach of nurturing.
Any idea what you’ll be for Halloween this year? Do you have any ideas for a group costume at work? (lots of elder 20s student nerds at work)
Which Bond villain would make the best Soulsborne NPC?
Devon how are you the only person who's able to pronounce my last name correctly?
You are given the correct budget to make a movie, but you have to make an adaptation of a previously existing work, or a remake of an existing movie. What do you make, and what do you want to be made?
Would you ever consider doing 7 consecutive days of live shows to cover the Police Academy films?
If KJB was instead analyzing what a movie has to say about *femininity* would the SCUM score change and would there be a specific movie you'd like to discuss with that lens?
On the "Master and Commander" episode you gave a lot of praise to the Aubrey–Maturin books. Do you have an opinion about the in topic similar Hornblower series?
Kill James Bond the video game; what genre is it and would you have a preference of developer?
Which adult beverage pairs best with an episode of KJB?
Have we acknowledged the fact that the Cars universe is fundamentally only possible through a young earth creationist viewpoint? And if so how does that change your interpretation of the related films?
Imagine each of the protagonists of the film serieses you've covered was a god in a pantheon. Which aspects would each of them include in their domain, and which one of them would you pledge yourself to?
This is mainly for Abby: as native Angeleno I’d love to hear what you think of LA! What’s your favorite part? What’s your least favorite? (Don’t be afraid to trash talk it, I love my home town but I’m under no illusions about its flaws).
Would a season which is only you 3’s top 10 movies be fun or would it be to naked?
How many countries have you sen movies from? For the pod and in general?
What were your biggest surprises from other hosts' recommendations of this year? Doesn't even have to be a positive reaction, visceral will do.
Are there any films on the ban list, that you never want to watch? Are there any specific films that you think could get 40 in the S.C.U.M. system?
Since Tim Curry died recently-ish, what do you all think about the Rocky Horror Picture Show? Is it meaningful for you? Incredibly problematic? Fun? Something else?
The “Mannequin” episode makes clear that November isn’t an RHPS fan, but I’m still curious what the gang thinks of not just the movie, but the subculture that sprung up around it.
what's your third favourite sandwich? also Sharpe when?
How goes the efforts to get a drivers lisence?
I always like hearing people answer this one: any characters you've been particularly interested in lately? What's got you focused on them in particular? Alternate question: what fragrances are you liking right now?
Whilst Nova and Devon's analogue photography hobby has been well-explored across various podcasts and social media, I'm curious if Abbie likewise has a "vintage" hobby or interest.
Do any of you have a favourite film you haven't covered yet for whatever reason, or one you think would be a great fit but are waiting for someone of appropriate background to be able to guest (I know Nova's said Four Lions is one of these)?
What films that youve already done would have most benefit score-wise from "unnecessary violence" rather than "unprovoked violence"
What bonus episode do you think would have had the largest S.C.U.M score if it had been objectively evaluated
"By our powers combined" in the spirit of Captain Planet the KJB cast are gifted rings of power. What are the aspects that each members ring calls forth and what is created when you combine your ring powers?
Has god forsaken us?
What would the KJB official sandwich contain? As in : a Venue allows you to make a choose one for a live show, as a treat to the public . Bonus : and the official drink / cocktail as well.
Whats a piece of media you'd love to review here but that just wouldn't work for the format of kjb?
Is there anything you felt you missed in an episode? Like maybe something you didn’t think about until lateror a comment pointed out something you didn’t know?
You are suddenly body-swapped with a cohost. Let's say Nova's mind -> Abi's body, Abi -> Devon, Devon -> Nova. You're not allowed to tell anyone else that this has happened, and the swap lasts for one month. Do you think you could avoid arousing suspicion? Which of you would have the most trouble doing so?
Which episode (either mainline or bonus) do you think has the biggest gap between how good the film was and how good the episode was?
Are y’all ever gonna review D.E.B.S.? Have you seen it?
You get to make the next bond movie. What's the SCUM score for it? Alternatively, what's the SCUM score for your bio-pics?
If Mr. Brocolli tasked you with remaking or reimagining an existing James Bond film, which one would you choose and why? (Unlicensed Bond films count)
Would you all consider side-stepping movies to watch the 1979 Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy series for bonus episodes? It captures some serious depth in the characters and the nature of personalities that the service attracts. And it actually makes violence seem so regrettable and unpleasant by everyone involved. The story is such a high water mark, even so far as to codify all the lingo as I'm sure you all know. You all have such a beautiful love of clever art, and I'd melt hearing you all gush about this series episode by episode. Also baby P-Stew! The 2011 film would be fascinating to cover afterwards, how established spy fiction in film changed post-Bourne and post-Brosnan/Craig. Also Mork Storg. Love, Sparky
PS: The series hits a special place for me because I know John le Carre through Michael Jayston's narration of the audiobooks -- he's popular for how he established himself in this series as Guillam.
Which Eurospy movie would you, in retrospect, do a live show to commemorate?
With everything feeling uncertain and scary lately, can you each tell me some nice things you're looking forward to? Even little things. Are you doing some cool hobbies? Going on fun trips?
What’s a new favourite item of clothing you’ve acquired recently?
Do you all have any opinions on the Fargo television series? As a big Fargo movie fan, I really enjoy the direction they take with the series, especially with each season being (mostly) stand-alone. Plus as someone who lives in the Great Lakes region, it is nice to see something set in this general area.
What's your perfect Sunday?
The three of you have the opportunity to remake a film previously reviewed (and disliked) on the show in order to make it good. Which film are you choosing, and how are you improving it?
You must do a heist of your choosing - What are you stealing, and who's taking what role?
Anybody want a full deck of Kevin Mitchell baseball cards that were collected on the completely normal basis of "having a perfect design layout" and are now worth less than the cost of printing because the guy is a horrible person for the low-low cost of shipping? Also, is there a moratorium on To Wong Foo? If yes, I apologize for asking. If no, Patrick Swayze's LEGS?!?
if/when you conduct the KJB end-of-season real-time heist, which heist movie theme is playing in each of your heads?
What's a piece of media that fucked you up to the point where you didn't want to watch it again?
What's a good question to ask?
How've you been self-actualising over the last year, away from recording?
Is there a film you regret doing? Why?
More a question than a comment, when will you do Tremors (1990) and talk about how it's a perfect movie? Thank you for all the joy! Looking forward to too much more. So much it's spilling out.
I work as an electrolysist at a trans owned and operated clinic in Australia. Occasionally I will put on an episode of the podcast to pass the time during a session. Yes, this does mean that several girls have listened to you whilst getting their bottom prep done. What episode would you like me to play in my next session? This is real, I will do this, choose wisely. P.s. It cant be Cars 2 or Flushed away. I tried those already and the client laughed so much that my job became quite difficult. P.p.s I'm sitting here removing hairs from someone's top lip while listening to 'Black Dog', and relised that I might need to clarify. In this context, bottom prep referes to hair removal before having bottom surgery, and nothing else 🤣.
Careful Whitey! But seriously, this is hilarious, wonderful anecdote.
What's the most important cornerstone of the truck movie to you - something without which a movie, whether or not it may contain a truck, may not rightly call itself a truck movie?
What question are you surprised nobody has asked yet?
I'm bobbing to the corner shop, do you want anything?
You have been made the Dictatrix of Hollywood for a day, and may choose one movie, IP, or director’s body of work — living or dead — to destroy forever, other than James Bond. Who is getting the guillotine?

What's your Coppotype?
For Nova and Dev, do you think Peter Watts will ever make the third Blindsight book?

Why are there so many guys we love to see and so few gals, nonbinary pals, and people we love to see?

I've joined the board of my city's film club (jippiiiiii) and we just had our semiannual pitch meeting. What are three movies or events you would pitch to enrich the movie culture of [where you live]? I have French demon hunting LGBTs (Bloody Mallory), goofball comedy with serious actors and CIA CLOWNS (Ishtar) plus the sweetest and edgiest Japanese movies of 1998 (April Story + Bullet Ballet). Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to share the cinema that doesn't reach the public.

How do you even choose a question when you basically know that it won't be chosen?
Would you still love us if we were worms?

Hello! Big fan of the show. Thank you for making it! Question: You are given the power to turn a fictional character that you’ve covered in the show into a real person. Only condition is that they have to do weekly podcasts with you. Either as the fourth member of KJB, a regular on another of your podcasts or making a new altogether. Which character are you picking and why?

Simon Hopkinson recipe for a bull shot: shake 50ml vodka, 25ml dry sherry, 3-4 shakes worcs sauce, juice half lime, sprinkle celery salt, and 150ml Baxter's beef consommé over ice, strain into 2 glasses. Is this worth the detour? It should apparently look like a small Guinness.
Forgot tabasco to taste. Baxter's is also what he suggests for uk consumers, but for no "gelling" with the ice, apparently you want Campbell's beef broth.
