Apropos of nothing, how about the Wages of Youngest Connery with Hell Drivers (1957)?
Walker met his shadow self with imperfect courage, and it utterly annihilated his soul.
An important follow up to this would be Payback (1999) the Mel Gibson movie which I now realise is a straight up remake of this movie but less interesting and more nihilistic. On the other hand it does have Domenatrix Lucy Liu.
This is the furthest apart I’ve ever been from the hosts on my opinion of this movie. I thought it was crap. I hope we’re almost done with heist season. I’ve enjoyed every episode talking about the movies, but it has been the least enjoyable season of movie watching for me.

I love the scene where Lee Marvin dangles the revolver instead of giving any of his lines in a two-person dialogue. It's soo smart.

Are we sure that November isn't thinking a lot about Ghost Dog because she's been listening to Lions Led By Donkeys recently?
I don't understand why anyone would want to be like this guy. This is the most hollow and miserable a traditionally masculine guy can be. There's just nothing there anymore except the desire for revenge, and even that isn't really anything particularly animating.
