I couldn't remember which of these movies was the last one I watched, I just remembered there was a plane that never went anywhere and a European villain. After this, I go in blindly. Because I refuse to watch more of these fucking movies.

If we're talking content that maybe enables toxic tendencies in straight white guys, I would start with Mad Men (2007-2015), which glorified a time in the past when straight white guys got away with some seriously horrific stuff, drank like fish at work, and were rewarded for it. I can imagine a lot of straight white guys thinking, "Let's make America great like that again." I know Mad Men is always described as "critiquing that time and place," but I've seen the first season, and the shows creators were lying. It was cover to get away with glorifying the truly horrible things straight white guys were getting away with. I suppose that could have changed in the out years, but one season was all I could stomach.

With regards to Gal Gadot and Gina Carano I love the sort of vibe of respecting women, not these particular women but we do respect them as women, just not as individuals. There's nuance there and I like that.

A couple of the racing scenes were filmed in Liverpool, which looks really funny to anyone from here: 1. They enter the Queensway tunnel from the Liverpool side and then Shaw takes a left into a blocked-off section of the tunnel, after which Dom follows him but turns off down the not-blocked off exit as if he was travelling the other direction. 2. A part of Dom and Letty's race seems to travel the same 20m section of road for a good couple of minutes, with the camera cutting enough times to hope we don't notice.

Devon FYI, chez Torreto is in Echo Park and according to zillow is worth just a little over a million dollars. It's 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom.
