The Boney Island Whitefish in: My Beautiful Dark Twisted Motives
It’s a rare Booth Episode today! This season's overarching plot pits Booth against his dark twisted cracked funhouse black mirror self, sniper Jacob Broadsky. Plus, Angela's Dad arrives to name his grandson, and Riley suffers a breakfast fiasco.

I care when our various hosts have gruel. I will not be revealing whether I care positively or negatively. But I do, in fact, care.
Comment expressing Neutrality on "The Boney Island Whitefish" as a project
*Slaming my fist on my desk chanting* GRULE! GRULE!! GRULE!!!
re: breakfast - I care if you eat something delicious, but I don't care if you eat something bad, if that makes sense? I relish your joy and I choose to ignore your gruel
Re the Buffy watching: I'd love to know your reaction to the demise of the coach in the Go Fish episode. If anything about it jumped out at you
Devon can have anything they want for breakfast.
This is why real sandwich engineers put a toothpick through every ingredient. Even the ramp engineer could've warned you about this.
I managed to sleep in less this morning, so I was able to scramble up some eggs, grilled a pair of vegan sausage patties, and spread some apricot preserves over a slice of nearly whole grain toast.
Why do you buy from amazon? Do you people not have stores? If I could find an egg mold in dumbass sweden that has nothing surely you can find it were you are
I really ought to listen to the whole podcast before commenting, but I won't. Riley, your existence reminded me to make tomorrow's gruel tonight so I have lovely overnight oats with blackberries tomorrow. Gruel is a perfectly acceptable food. I am happy to see Devon enjoying some gruel as well. Now if anyone says anything else I want to respond to, I'll just reply to myself here.
I knew it. I am the very rare person who saw Angel, Bones, and then Buffy so you could say my Boreanaz language is more philistine. (Did I just look up a list of languages descended from proto Indo European? Yes - I can't have any interesting fact stolen valor here)
owwww, Lorne ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I love Lorne! In a later season they go to the dimension he's from, really good couple of episodes! Sadly (after the show had already ended) the actor died young of a heart condition 😢
I'm not angry, just disappointed
Achievement unlocked - no playing of the Chemical Brothers! I of course was very confused about what show was being described, but you are such good hosts that I was able to piece it together
I am enjoying all Breakfast Updates. I am generally a gruel enjoyer (2.5:1 water to oats, pinch of salt, blast in the microwave for 90-120 seconds (depending upon actual amount), stir, same time again, spoonful of muscavado sugar stirred in and a splash of milk to serve). Devon: you're doing great
I literally saw BIWF and thought "ooh I should go ahead and make overnight oats for tomorrow" and then was surprised by Riley's lack of gruel
Oh hell yeah I remember SmartBullet discussions. They were supposed to be the future for like, five years and then I stopped hearing about them
I was born in 1991 and watched Bones before I watched Buffy
I was born in 1984... and I also saw Bones before I saw Buffy! I love watching "teen"age immortal Special Angelnt Seeley Booth make up to "teen"age Sarah Michelle Gellar.
Been binging the entire Boney Island Whitefish over the past three days and it has OVERJOYED me to hear you talk about my Most Problematic Fave Show. I am not even ashamed to admit that Bones is still my favourite TV show (even though I can't watch it anymore for enshittificative reasons) and I also don't care what that says about my opinion on television series in general. This show is SO BAD and I love it SO MUCH. Thank you all for this podcast :D
Grateful to have finally found a podcast that makes me feel better about my daily gruel 🫡
Very good! Big fan and the whitefish light up my day! It should be noted (at least in the us) sandpaper is graded sorta like shotgun shells. A bigger number is a tinier little piece of sand. If you want to really add texture to a quite over hard egg puck, you’re going to want to go with a 60 or dare I say even a 40 grit sandpaper
Shrimp packaging works that way too. The "count" on a package of shrimp is how many shrimp per pound. Tiny shrimp equals high number, huge shrimp equals low number Kind of funny and distinctly American to compare with something "familiar" like shotgun gauges. (For what it's worth that was helpful to me)
7:00 this sife t'Pond manners demand structurally unsound sarnies become "knife and fork jobs".
