####Spoilers for Dark Dice ep 7: The Great Gate#### ########################################## During our show, we lost a player character and it was a pretty big deal for us. We commissioned art of the funeral, wrote a funeral song, and sang it in Icelandic (language of Dwarves) w/ a real harpist.

We're getting a little bit further on the Dark Kin gods for our upcoming book. The blank spaces are panels that will tell their creation story.

One of our upcoming books features the Dark Kin and the evil gods they worship. This is the storyboard for the pages that introduce them. We're using the central deities as page breaks to tell their creation story. If you look really carefully you can see some of my stick figures in the backgrounds

A few months ago we started work on a White Vault poster. Due to a few issues, the artist was unable to complete the work. Here's as far as we got with the design, with a few edits, so you could see where the finished piece was going. This won't be ever released to the public, but we have the artist

The above link is a blog post I put together that explains the evolution of the map of the entire colony of Atrius. tl;dr Kaitlin made Liberty into the world we love today and George Kavallines is the man! Sci-Fi Cartography for the Liberty Comic/Podcast (Imgur)

Like most modern firearms the Defender features a glowing HuD, digital contro

The Lucky 8's are collectors of various goods which they believe bring them fortune. In addition to personal collections of knick-knacks Tungs sports a series of high-quality tattoos, including the Lucky 8's mark on her neck (also painted on her coat's bicep). Tungs has chemical grenades, a gasmask,

Fashion design by Laurie Thomas. A number of our upcoming stories (such as Excuse Me and Vigilance) feature agents from the Department of Community Order (DCO). The unisex grey uniform includes a standard issue privacy hood and a utility pack. Transparent gloves are also worn for the sake of hygiene

We wanted to share a quick sneek peek at our internal 'Map of Atrius', which encompasses every tower, every building, and every road in the entire colony as it exists in the year 713. If you're wondering how much detail is actually on this map, check out the attached screenshot and prepare to impres

It is with a mix of surprise and joy that we hit our first goal last night, and are officially breaking even!!! We'd like to thank each and every one of you for your support as we continue to grow and bring the Liberty universe to life! We have much planned, and we look forward to sharing our new cr

The final part of Deon De Lange's character studies for "Deception". Tertulius Justus is a Senior Investigator of the Atrius Bureau of Investigations. He's stoic, heroic, and needs to look a bit larger than life. At the time of this study he's also got a nasty scar on his forehead. The first of many

Another part of Deon De Lange's character studies for Deception. "Twitch" is a ganger for the SA Rocket Punks. She rarely smiles so this was helpful in pinpointing some of her regular scowling patterns. Also noteworthy is the tattoo over her left eye, the 'soldier mark' frequently used by the punks.

Another part of Deon De Lange's character studies for "Deception". Will Conway is a hacker and gun seeker with the Conway Brothers. He is one of the only known individuals capable of "cracking" Atrian firmarms, which gives the Conway Brothers a strong advantage over their competition. His eyes are i

Another part of Deon De Lange's character studies for "Deception". Gust Conway is a gunseeker and arms dealer who works with Claw and Will. He comes up with the strategic plans for the group in their boss' absence, but has minimal social skills.

Another part of Deon De Lange's character studies for "Deception". "Doc" is a former Atrian Citizen who has chosen to live within the Fringe for unknown personal reasons. Doc is a drug attict and womanizer, with a very Atrian-inspired fashion sense.

A second one of the character studies by Deon De Lange. Caden West is listed as a Private Investigator within the Department of Public Affairs. She holds a few PAG awards for her shooting prowess.

This month, Deon De Lange did a series of character studies for our Liberty comic book series. They're pretty cool, so we thought we'd share them here!

For those of you familliar with the Conway (half) Brothers, from the comic book series, we're in the process of making a short story about their mother, Psykes Conway. She is the reason behind the Conways' wealth and success as gun seekers. We wanted her to have elements of all three of her children

This is one of the unused poster designs created by George Kavallines (currently attending Ringling) for Tales from the Tower. The monster gets a little bit closer in this one, and it's another view from the For Science story.

There's a running joke among players of A.F.T.E.R. (the Liberty RPG) about who has the latest and greatst Privacy Hood... But jokes aside, Arianna Westerfield (Ringling graduate), Eduardo Camacho (lettering), and I were really happy with how this turned out. The little images on the hood are a combi

This is one of the unused poster designs created by George Kavallines (currently attending Ringling) for Tales from the Tower. This is still one of my favorite composition ideas... However, since the poster was to be used for the interior of Deception Vol. 1, as opposed to being a book cover, we ult

Though it might seem random when you hear all of the building numbers, Districts, and sky rail stations on the podcast, a lot of effort actually goes into making sure it all fits within the map Kaitlin painstakingly designed. Though a new (and slightly more accurate) map is being completed over the

There are few places within the colony that contain open ground, and none of them are as massive as Jacob West Park. Occupying most of Districts 3 and 9 Jacob West Park is a commemorative park filled with statues, walking paths, shade, artistic displays, and open ground for recreational activities.

Designing the Rocket Punk aestetic is actually a lot more intellectual than one might imagine... Long pants are a necessity in the Fringe as they offer protection, utility, and warmth, so shorts are an outward display of strength, as are the fancy socks. The length of her hair, even though it's pinn

The Special Defense Force (SpDF) is composed of specialized strike teams consisting of specialists who are geared to counter a specific situation. Officers like Patel, Ljqvist, and Jalloh typically wear a variant of the gear seen above when on duty. This gear consists of body armor, leg armor, a hel

Arianna Westerfield (Ringling graduate) came up with four really unique designs for the Tillian Tzou Privacy Hood mentioned in the early episodes of Critical Research. We ultimately opted to go with the one on the bottom left for the advert in Deception Volume 1. Which one was your favorite?

This was actually sort of a surprise for Kaitlin, who I don't think has ever seen this... We created a cool advertisement for Tales from the Tower within Liberty: Deception Volume 1 (available today!) , and based the image on the story "For Science". These are some of the monster designs by George K
