its now almost a year later, is the Childbirth Mod broken with the new iupdates?

Hi! Every time I download it and when I enter it, it has objects and etc. but it doesn't work, nothing appears in the mod itself, just the objects.

i downloaded this but my game kept on coming off on its own and showing me an error message. when i went back on sims, better exceptions and mccc kept on saying theres a corrupted file or mod and better exceptions showed uthis mod as the main issue. before i never had an issue so now im a bit down since i cant use this

Hi! I love your mods but it seems like no matter what I do, the option for ultrasound NEVER comes up when i call the OB after taking the test. I have followed all the rules to install it properly. Have uninstalled and reinstalled the sims itself, only had this birthing mod, even the lil icon looks different on my laptop. on the website its a lil medical icon but on my game there is no icon at all with the $15 and then one where there's a stork. I am so confused and hope you or someone else can help me because I really want to use this mod. Its the only thing that doesnt work for me.

Hi! Love this mod!! I play on a MacBook for context, whenever I try to launch my game it says the latest version of the mod is corrupted and my game only launches when the mod isn't installed. Is there anything you know of that I can do to fix this? Your mod is the only good part of the pregnancy journey in the game.

Hi! I updated my game today and now I no longer have the option to call the obstetrician. It doesn’t show up on the phone in the game ever since the game updated . I deleted the old version 1.74 and I download 1.86 already but nothing is working for the mod, I can't see childbirth settings anymore. Could you advise what to do?

Hello, so the obstetrician , check upon the phone doesn’t come up on the phone in the game doesn’t come ever since the game updated . Everything else is fine. I can’t go to the hospital for a check up or lamas class. The version I have is 1.81 and 1.82. I see in the downloads it’s 1.86 now. So do I delete version 1.81 and 1.82? I download 1.86 already.

I've updated almost all the mods that can be updated, but the birth mode was working fine, but a few days ago, the pregnancy period time doesn't show up and I can't progress. Is this a game bug?

Hi! Thank you for the excellent mod! I am having issues with this version, I’ve updated my game to the newest update and redownloaded your mod. It’s not showing my sim is pregnant; nor does she have the moodlet. I was able to go for the pregnancy check up and she did an ultrasound. Once she came home and the next day the OB option was gone . It does say she pregnant if I tried to aged her up but no belly or pregnant walk. I have the 1.116.232 version and i redownloaded your mod

Hello my sims is pregnant I redownloaded your mod and I made her take a pregnancy test with your mod and it worked I was able to announce the pregnancy but then I did not have the option to call the obstetrician but everything else from your mod is there and I also have a buff that says "feel pregnant but unknown" or something like that and now I do not have the option to pregnancy hug or anything and I have the recent update, can you help me.

The only problem im having with it is the "get gender reveal supplies" option not showing up at all no matter what i do

Im not sure what to do at this point Ive spent 3 hours today trying to fix everything. I downloaded the most recent version after experiencing the common pregnancy glitch. Now the mod won't show up in my gameplay at all. Ive completely removed all cc and mods to 100% guarantee I can make sure there's no old versions or anything conflicting with the new mod. Script mods and everything are enabled in game, and with the beginning pop up it even says I have it as a mod. Yet Ive done everything in my power to make the mod show in game. Playing on a MacBook Air btw.

hello ! I don't have any old mods, I installed everything correctly and the options to go see the baby don't appear, I don't have access to premature births.

Everything is working except it won't allow me to pop the gender reveal balloon or cake the sims wave and act like they can't go there nothing is in the way.

Hello, there is no option for my sim in the midwifery career to take vacation days or family leave after she had a baby. Is this anyone else's experience, or is there something I'm doing wrong?

Updated my mods before I noticed a game update. Mod was working fine before my game force updated as I was playing. Reinstalled the updated and now the nursing school option on my phone is missing. Not sure what has happened.

I love your mod and I use it for some time now. But unfortunately the new version with the midwifery update is not working for me. I own the get to work pack but there are no texts when my sim wants to go to nursing school or read the books or work as a midwife. there are the bubbles were the text is supposed to be but there is none :( Do you have any tipps?

Everything works great. Don't forget to delete the old folder!! Everything works poorly or doesn't work at all when there are two files.

Unfortunately mine is not working either. (I repaired and restarted and even redownloaded the mod.) But I'm patient and will wait, because your mods make gameplay so much better!

Unfortunately, Child Birth Mod still does not work still in v. 1.86. The problem is that from the perspective of the sim, there is no “call the obstetrician” option. Also, none of the other type options and moods that the mod provided (checkups, interaction with other sims about pregnancy) appear. With a pregnant sim, there is only the moodster from the basic version of the game (currently informing about the second trimester). It looks as if the game does not read this mod at all, except for the working option to join midwifery school and the midwifery profession.

I love your mod and it's honestly the highlight of my gameplay but I was wondering if you'd consider adding wearable breast pumps that maybe have to be charged once a day but are considered automatic actions and produce milk in the background ?

I updated my game, which was supposed to fix the pregnancy issue, so I downloaded the updated version of the mod, but now it's not working. I'm not sure if I have done anything wrong. I have tried your tutorial on how to download and install it correctly, but even if I do that, it's not working.

My mod is unfortunately broken. When using the mod to take a test I do get pregnant (can see via mccc) but no moodlet or physical changes. I think it may be the mod because I removed it and it works fine now

Yippie! I had my sim give birth at the hospital yesterday and I just was getting so confused on why nothing was working and my sim was just standing around. I forgot for a moment that all of the doctors/checking/breathing was from your mod. I was so sad, but now I am so happy!

Hi :) Love your mod! I just have a quick question, is it just the pregnancy element of your mod that is affected by EA's bug or will it affect all aspects of the mod? Just my sim is able to breastfeed but this doesn't stop her getting the dangerously full alert so she still has to pump afterwards to clear this. Also my sims aren't able to feed their infant expressed breastmilk even with it in their inventory.

I can't get the gender reveal items, my sim gets pregnant and no belly appears, I'm going to remove the mod until everything is adjusted:/

Wouldn’t it be just great if it turned out to be hyperemesis gravidarum? A condition that actually affects quite a number of pregnant women.

that's why mine is really buggy. My Sim doesn't have a belly but she's 2 weeks pregnant. I can't share the pregnancy news or take a pregnancy test.

Thought I was the only one! I can’t get my sim to breastfeed/nurse and yeah the pregnancy features are just not there. Can’t wait for it to be fixed!

My game actually works better with your mod compared to without. With your mod my sims can take a pregnancy test and even though the message always says that they aren´t pregnant I can tell by the animation if they are! EA should hire you.

you said you feel it was done on purpose? which I agree but I'm curious as to why you think they did this. for the life of me I don't understand why they would touch pregnancy. i love your mod and I'm grateful for creators like you who make the game worth playing.

I thought it was fixed because I was able to try for baby and use a pregnancy test last night. The childbirth mod does work a tiny bit, the birth animations are still there. But you can't call a midwife or set up a birth plan or go to appointments. EA still messed up big time with this. How do they keep making bugs like this?

I can't play without updating it, and it physically won't let me. I'm so mad. All I do in The Sims is have kids, and her mod changed my life, and now I can't even take her to the doctor. I hope EA "fixes" this as soon as possible, or I think The Sims 4 is about to lose a lot of players who were committed to this game and now can't do their jobs because of it. EA, I hope you read these comments and see how much frustration your update has caused.

Pandasama I’m very sorry this has happened and I’m sure it’s beyond frustrating. Please take breaks while you work on this fix. Your mod is GENIUS and it truly elevated the storytelling and realism of the Sims. Game changing! I truly hope it can be fixed soon starting with EA’s issues. I don’t get why they touched pregnancy for this new pack…I truly don’t.

I’ve been looking at this mod for ages but haven’t been able to get it because I don’t have GTW. I’ve bought GTW this week so I could get the mod and now this happens! Very sad. I hope they get it sorted asap! If it wasn’t for your mod, I wouldn’t have bought GTW!

Just had a random thought: after pregnancy gets fixed, will you tie in your childbirth mod to aspects of Enchanted by Nature? Like, a Sim would give birth outside if they so choose or something like that, given they have a high enough natural living skill?

I must be outlier or just incredibly lucky, but wanted to share anyways… your childbirth mod hasn’t had any issues in my save! I’m sure not Everything is happening and I’m missing stuff because of the EA bug, but the main features I did use (progressing through ther pregnancy, checkups, the whole labor, gender reveal, etc) work fine for me and the pregnancy progresses as normal. I do have the pregnancy test fix, idk if that’s why.

I love the mild sass toward EA and their "optimizations" I can't believe they didn't prioritize fixing it for the patch, it's a base game function! I wish they would release patches to modders before the general public so they could mitigate some of this. Thank you for creating such a great mod, I hope they fix the issue soon!

I've been playing with the ChildBirth Mod since the update that ruined a lot of things but I wanted to check and see if the new update today, July 10th, had any positive affect on this mod. Genuinely curious btw!!

When I click on my sim for PandaSama’s it doesn't show up

Hi, everyone, just wanna say I found a way to use pandasama’s childbirth mod with this bug still going. So, if you have mccc, you can change your sim’s trimester to any of other options and then change it back to the supposed state, and the game will recognize the sim as pregnant and the mod would work. This works for me perfectly today! Hope it’s useful for others who can’t play without this mod❤️

The option to even call the obstetrician seems to be broken :/ hopefully EA fixes this bug soon

Hey! Just letting you know I had a sim go through a hospital birth as normal today. There was a bit of a delay in the prompts starting, but once they did the baby was born and added to my family as usual.

Hi maybe you can tell me if I can fix this. I had my household at 15 and then moved it back down to the 8. Now when my sims go to work and I click on a sims they get up and leave saying the pregnancy was canceled because of me setting it back to 8. Is there a way for me to reset this so I can go to work, and we can do the task they need to do.

Healthy Living mod has stopped working since the patch. It worked for a couple of days after but threw up script errors.

Hi! My sims keep getting an error of "sims can't do this while pregnant) for all of the pregnancy-off-limit acitivites, but none of my sims are pregnant (including a male teen lol) could this be a part of the EA issue with this mod or another mod altogether?

EA really can do nothing. I hope this was intentional and means we get a surprise pregnancy overhaul. But I guess that's just a desired hope that won't ever be reality.

If I never ever downloaded a mod and this is my very first one. Is there an “original” download? The only download I see is a 1.85 *update* Like if I only download 1.85 (and buy the Get to work expansion) should I be all set? And if my ea app automatically updated where can I find 1.841 version?

This may sound dumb but the healthy living club part of the mod (were you can join and start getting meals in the mails ect) doesn’t pop up, will that be broken much longer?

Thank you for amazing work! The childbirth mod has grown to be one of my favourite mods and playing without it really sucks. I seriously hope EA will soon fix this and all the other new bugs that came with the patch. 🤍🤍

See a lot of you all are having issues with pregnancy but for me personally my sim has a pregnancy bump and giving birth was fine...I mean of course without this wonderful mod it's not the same but I had no issues 🤷🏾‍♀️😕

Sims pregnancy is not exciting without your Mods. So I may just keep my Sim on pause until later or end the pregnancy while I wait. Take your time and thank you for keeping us updated.

Wait, so I am confused. I have not looked at any of my saves yet that have a preggo sim. I removed the mod from my game a while ago. So, if the mod is not active at all. Will I still be having issues with my pregnant Sims? I hear some people's Sims aren't appearing with a bump. I'm not sure if that is mod-related or related to the new update for the game.

I saw what you mean. Your version of the pregnancy test didn't show up. Only the regular version.

Looks like we just have to wait to play the sims again :( I doubt they will do anything before the pack release because its so close and just convenient to release them all in the same update.

I read about EA's... let's call it an oopsie earlier today, and it absolutely blows my mind that an enormous company that made $7.4 billion last year messed up this bad, and that modders are coming up with fixes for it faster than the company is. Hey PANDASAMA, how are you? Since you updated the new version of the Realistic Birth mod, it hasn’t been showing up in my game! I already removed the old files and haven’t installed any new mods or anything that could conflict with it. So I was wondering what might be going on.

Can I please ask if it would be possible to somehow apply the interactions and options of the Childbirth Mod to the Werewolf Greg character as well? My sim is having a baby with him, but she can't even tell him. When he asks her if she's pregnant, nothing happens. There are no interactions available that would simply allow her to announce her pregnancy to him. And I guess I can't even take him to the ultrasound. I understand that this character is specific and just doesn't allow for certain things. I was just wondering if there was possibly a way to maybe allow that in the future. Maybe somehow changing him in CAS or through MCCC would be enough, but I didn't want to try anything yet until I asked. :-) Thank you very much.

Thanks for the update I been going crazy all day. My Sim keeps having enlarge breast and needs pumping for her newborn and she not even pregnant. And the whole nursing school not letting me take exam or put the iv in the fruit.

hi today i was playing with this mod not knowing it was broken but here some things i noticed the pregnant test not showing up and the midwife career complete broken but thanks for the update cant wait to play with it again

Thank you for the update Pandasama! I temporarily removed my childbirth mod until you will release the latest version. No one is getting pregnant among my sims for the meantime lol. Thank you for your hardwork! We really appreciate it!

I updated my sims and now the childbirth mod doesn't work. I do not have the fairy pack. Does it not work on the regular update?

How long roughly do you think it would take for the childbirth mod to be fixed?

Not sure if this has been answered recently but do you ever plan on updating the toddler crib? Or even update it where it can be used but remove the lock since that seems to be the thing that was the issue. I honestly just love the patterns and could go without the lock. If it ever is updated can you also make it so infants can use it too unless it was for infants.
