Hi guys! A lot of you told me that you want the high chair to have the same kind of lock the crib has because adults keep taking the toddler in and out of the chair when you are trying to get the toddler to eat, so I made one for you here. This mod contains a script file and it also needs the xml injector in order to work! if you already have it installed you do not need to download it again

you can download the xml injector here: https://scumbumbomods.com/xml-injector
once downloaded you will likely get a zip file, you need to unzip it
and inside you will find these 2 files, do not unzip them and place them in your mods folder no more than 1 folders deep
After that just download the file attached to this post, again there is a script file, make sure to not place it more than 1 folders deep.
if you did everything properly next time you go in game you should see there's now an option called "Disable auto-pickup". If you don't see this option then something went wrong with the xml injector, you either put it more than 1 folders deep, unzipped it, or has an outdated version you downloaded before.
if you click on it your sim will no longer be able to pickup the toddler until you "Enable auto-pickup) . If your sim can still take the toddler out even with pick up is disabled then you likely didn't install my script correctly, check to make sure PandaSama_High_Chair_Lock_PostureInjector.ts4script is no more than 1 folders deep.
toddlers can still teleport out of their chair if you take control of them and cancel their interaction, that's how the game is.

ive updated my game and narrowed it down to this one being the problem, just wanted to make you aware. Is this one that you plan on fixing soon ?

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I get so freaking mad at my sims, they will actually stop eating their own meal to get up and take the baby out of the high chair while SHE is eating. Stupid, stupid, stupid!

Hi, I dowloaded this mod a long time ago, and then the "lock highchair" interaction on the highchair suddently disappered, so I deleted the mod from my mod folder because I thougt it was broken, and then I forgot all about the mod existed. But then I found it again about a month ago, and downloaded it again, but this time it was the newest verision of the mod, and the interaction still doesn't show up when I click on the highchair. Do you have any idea why?
Hi, it would be because you either don鈥檛 have the xml injector installed or it鈥檚 outdated or not installed correctly
Is this working as intended? I have the opposite problem now, I cannot get my sim kids out of the high chair anymore even after enabling pick up again. It takes quite a while and a lot of fails until they let them out.
same , is it cause of the new update ? cause the sims has like 2 updates recently so maybe it broke the mod or idk (also if that happens i just reset the child or the high chair using the testingcheats true (or on) and it gets the child out of there more easier

.........only found this while going through scarlet's website for the latest mod updates..........you have no idea how much i needed this. i literally spent 2 hours the other day (like a dumbass) trying so many different autonomy mods and it would never work. thank you for doing the lord's work lol

i downloaded this and did everything right and it wouldnt let me pick up any of my sims no matter where they were. i literally deleted it from my mods folder too and i still cant pick up any of my sims. its not because of objects blocking the way but this basically broke my whole game
I really do not appreciate the accusation. Mods cannot affect your game once it鈥檚 out of your mods folder. I suggest you do the 50/50 method to find out what it is
i know this mod is probably the least of your worries but it is an absolute life saver for me lol its no longer working since the latest sims 4 update :((( any chance you'll be updating this mod? no rush just curious! thank youuu
Hi, it鈥檚 still working and was not affected by the patch. You just need to update your xml injector

Having an issue where I've enabled pick up but my sim can't let the toddler out of the chair. For now I reset the high chair so the toddler can get down, but I don't know why this is happening.
