Josh Hayes

I have moved house again, the schedule was interrupted, I am now back. The next 'was it good' is fully recorded and editing will begin tomorrow. Was it good - Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance Estimated release date, 7-14 days from now. Thank you for your support.

Hello all Many people have been asking where the video and twitch content is. Short story, due to multiple connections and meetings and several weeks of prep, I've actually been cast in a film, which will have a month of filming and then potentially a limited cinema release. This is of course very c

Hi All Videos will be delayed for 3 weeks as I'm off to Japan. I have not quit Youtube :) If you want to follow the journey and see all the super touristy stuff I'll be doing, I'll be posting it all on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/joshstrifehayes/ While In Japan I'll look out for any obscure

Thought I'd explain why videos are taking longer. Pictured above is '100 hours in Runescape 3' script, it is 30'800 words long so far... Because that is about half the script. Over the long term, and this channel is absolutely a long term focused thing, the longer, more in depth videos do FAR better

It seems you all want 100+ hour rpg's condensed down into 2 hour review videos. Fine, just give me a while, this is a BIG game.

Hi all Now the Insomnia Gaming Festival is over, video production will focus on the '100 hours in...' series. While the 'Worst MMO Ever' and 'Was it Good?' series will of course continue, the success of '100 hours in Everquest' has shown me there is absolutely a demand for far longer, deeper delves

Hi All. Recently I've accepted a sponsorship deal with Gamer Supps, a powdered 'gamer' energy drink company, they also make those 'waifu cups'. As Patreon supporters, you are directly contributing to the continued success of all channels and projects, because of that I am accountable to you, so I'd

Thank you for your continued support and patience while I moved house, it was a far more complex process than expected, and I still have many packed boxes to unpack, BUT the PC is set back up, internet is sorted and content for all channels will now resume at the expected pace, with 'Worst MMO Ever?

The common, if often meme'd syaing in the MMO review space is 'it gets good 100 hours in', now no sane reviewer is going to have the time to play a game for 100 hours before writing a review. Thankfully because of your support, I can try insane ideas. The '100 hours in...' series will take a bit lon

Any reaction vids, either to my own content or to others content (with permission) will be edited and uploaded from twitch to youtube. This content will not impact the worst mmo ever series, or the retro was it good series. All react content or uploaded twitch streams will be in addition to regular

Hi All. I'm in the process of trying to move house, these things never go smoothly so there may be a short delay on videos / streams, hopefully no longer than 2 weeks while I rebuild the studio and get everything set back up. Thank you for your understanding and continued support, you are the bulwar

Hi All The next 'Was it Good' video is being scripted now, please understand this may take a day or two longer than usual, as I want to be as correct and as thorough as possible with this one. I look forward to releasing this, and as always thank you for your continued support, you've stopped an abs

Hi All Many of you support the Patreon due to the worst MMO Ever series, so I'm super happy to say I'm making them again, the latest Episode 'Genfanad' is up on the main YouTube channel right now. The retro channel 'josh strife plays' saw the latest video 'Eternal Ring' and will soon see 'Future cop

Hi All Over the last 3 months I've been pulled away from the computer for a variety of real life events, including the EGX show in London where I met many of you and performed more live D&D stage shows, a D&D filming project in London, and a 60 hour charity stream with John 'The Dark Room' Robertson

Hello All Just to keep you in the loop about content creation, a lot of conventions / social gatherings took place over the last month and will continue for about another week, then I'll be at EGX with the Session Zero crew running a live D&D game in London, it's unfortunate all these things happene

Thank you for your understanding over the last 2 weeks, I've been completely knocked sideways by Covid, but now things seem to be getting better. The main channel has more 'worst MMO Ever' episodes to come, and more 'Dev Log' interviews, and I'm working on a big video to discuss the reality of MMO c

Hi all, thought i'd keep you updated on the behind-the-scenes stuff: 1 - If your name is not showing up on the video overlay list, please drop me a message and let me know, the list is updated manually and i sometimes miss things. 2 - I'm aware the MMO channel is going longer between videos, this ha

Hi all, hope everyone is well. The current sate of the channels and projects: Josh Strife Hayes: Continuing with the 'Worst MMO Ever' series weekly, updates on Earth2 when they happen, short opinion videos on any relevant MMO news. Josh Strife Plays: Continuing to edit the Baldurs Gate 1, video, exp

Hi all I have returned from Insomnia 68 and will return to making videos! The event was fantastic, running a dnd game on stage and meeting lots of you! I hope to see many more of you at Insomnia 69 in 4 months time!

Hi All Storm Eunice has knocked out some internet / power relays near me and put me a few days behind in video creation, however the 'Was it Good?' series on the second channel will make up the shortfall, I hope to be back up to speed shortly :) https://www.youtube.com/joshstrifeplays

Hello all In April, I'll be appearing at the UKs largest gaming and LAN event 'Insomnia 68' as a content creator. I'll be running a live D&D game with 3 other accomplished youtubers/twitch streamers, then free to meet and greet all day. If you're going to be there, please let me know and I will do m

Hello all Several people have asked if I could archive the twitch streams on youtube, because twitch deletes old videos every 6 months and the video player app sucks, so the channel 'Josh Strife Replays' will allow you to catch up on all old streams or watch streams in nice easy youtube playlist mod

Hello All. At the start of December I posted about how I would be releasing fewer videos over the month and spending sometime with friends and family, your support has allowed me to take that step back from work and see the people important to me. That break has helped me greatly both mentally and p

Hi all, hope everyone is doing well, as usual thank you for your continued support, you have no idea how many predatory sponsorships I've been able to turn down because of all of you. As you all know the main channel 'Josh Strife Hayes' has exploded in popularity over the last 2 years, leading to th

Thank you for your patience with this, I would rather take a few more days to create a video I believe will stand the test of time and be watched for many years, than put out something subpar. I believe the second channel will be a place for long lasting, in depth reviews of classic games, and I'm t

Hi All Thank you for your patience with the second channel 'Josh Strife Plays', it isn't dead, just takes me longer to make a video because i go much more indepth. The voted on episode 'Silent Hill' is now out. Just pretend it's last week and it's Halloween still... Was it Good? - Silent Hill 1 (You

Hi All Some interesting news to update you all on. I've been approached to make a sponsored video about the game 'NARAKA: Bladepoint', now this makes a welcome change from the flood of crap mobile games I usually see, by all accounts Bladepoint is actually quite good, with a 'Very Positive' rating o

Hi All Over the last week my partner came down with intense dental pain, she's been bedridden and unable to eat or sleep due to the pain, during this time I've been taking care of her and the dogs. This does mean I haven't had as much time to play, write, record or edit, meaning videos may be pushed

Hi all, hope you're all well. The success of the main channel, and the incredible support shown through Patreon and Twitch, has allowed me to go full time youtube / twitch, turn down all outside work offers and make even more content. The main MMO channel will have at LEAST 2 videos a week uploaded,

Josh Strife Hayes = MMO content Josh Strife Plays = General gaming content The new support channel is now active! The main MMO channel will always recieve a new 'Worst MMO Ever?' episode every Saturday, and an MMOpinion on Wednesday. The new channel will likely receive 1 video a week, where I will p

Hello all Hope everyone is well, want to share some plans for the future :) While I love MMO content and will keep on making it, I do want to eventually push into more general RPG games, then maybe some retro gaming stuff, possibly replaying some classic games from the ps1 or N64 era. Uploading thes

Hi all Cool bit of news, after some planning with Callum Upton, we've been able to find time to product a weekly podcast focusing on the MMO / scam game landscape. The filming will happen live on twitch every Monday, 8pm to 10pm, but if you're not on twitch don't worry, the recorded video will then

Hi all Hope everyone is doing well! Your support has meant I've been able to turn down endless crappy sponsorships, you are the reason videos aren't filled with raid shadow legends, dragon raja or dungeon fighter ads. You're also the reason I'm able to recover and upgrade after my PC died. The new P

Hello all Hope everyone is well. For the past 6 months I've managed to put out 3 videos a week, come rain or shine (oh god the melting, burning shine) I've kept that schedule. Unfortunately my PC has now paid the price. I bought it 7 years ago, it's got a 512gb hdd, and its dying, badly. C drive usa

After months and months of turning down raid shadow legends, merge dragons, raid again, disgaea rpg, raid again, hair loss cremes, raid again, standing desks, bitcoin miners, mystery boxes and raid, again, I have finally been approached by a decent, genuine sponsor. NordVPN have agreed to sponsor 1

Hi all, hope you're all well, few awesome updates. I have been contacted by NordVPN, a company I actually trust, and offered a sponsorship, i would feel comfortable taking this as they are a company I can actually endorse. I have also been contacted by various marketing companies to create a 15 min

Thanks to a great suggestion by Patron Carl Henry, all active Patreon supporters now have identifying discord ranks. See, I do listen, sometimes.

Hi All, hope you're all well! First off, happy easter! Now, I need your input and feedback. I know my channel has been focused on MMORPG games for quite some time, and the 'worst MMO ever' series has been very well recieved. The danger with this series is how it limits the terribleness to just the M

Hi all Hope you're all well. Amazing news, Lucjan, founder of Drago Entertainment and current developer of 'Otherland', spoke to me for over an hour and answered all my questions, the interview will feature on episode 5!

You may have seen how 'Otherland part 3' ends on a cliffhanger. Just so you aren't worried about the series, i can confirm, there is a part 4, and beyond. Hope you're all doing good :)

Multiple videos are ready to be uploaded, but until TalkTalk fix the internet on our whole estate, they will be delayed, shouldn't be more than a day or two disruption. The next Worst MMO ever is adventure quest 3d.

Hello you sexy people I get emails, like the above image, often. Every few days I'll have another company pushing another mobile game or gacha game or time-gated mobile mmo and they'll offer me some money to put a 60 to 90 second advert in the middle of a video. I like to only sell what I believe in

Heres the next 7 videos, sneak peak. The 7 deadly Sins of MMO design Inspired by the 7 deadly sins of card game design, they'll be 10 min looks at the worst design choices games make and how to fix them. Hopefully have the first up later today :)

This was a test, if well recieved all patron names will be added to all future videos :) When the new Villain isn't as good as the old Villain (YouTube)

Because you're all awesome, and I think I've found a thumbnail design I like, finally. E.T. - Is it really the worst game ever? (YouTube)

Hello you gorgeous people. My niche on youtube is MMO, its how most of you found me, i will always to some degree make mmo content. The last 3 videos however have been 'retro reviews' of older games, as i believe pushing into the general gaming arena is a vital step. Future videos will contain more

Sneak preview of new content, i'll be adding in live comedy skits through the reviews, only short, but they should help break up the review into nice sections. Dino Crisis intro skit test footage (YouTube)

Morning all As you financially support this channel, you have a great deal of power over helping dictate its future and its content. I focused on MMO content, guides and reviews and that will continue, and now i'm pushing into the 'retro review' stuff, replaying older games. Before that I've made wa
