Dying PC, getting a new one ASAP

Hope everyone is well.
For the past 6 months I've managed to put out 3 videos a week, come rain or shine (oh god the melting, burning shine) I've kept that schedule.
Unfortunately my PC has now paid the price. I bought it 7 years ago, it's got a 512gb hdd, and its dying, badly.
C drive usage has gone to 100% with nothing running, booting up is taking 15 minutes, its reached a point i can't open a folder, a basic folder, without lag.
So, with the channel hitting 200k subs very soon and the patreon support growing daily, i will be upgrading asap, ideally within the month.
This may mean a delay on some videos, this isn't ideal and I thank you for being understanding with this.
I will keep you all updated on the state of the PC and the video upload schedule.

So your PC is finally rebelling after you forced it to play all those awful mmos?
Is upgrading an option or is a new one better for the long run?
Not an issue, it's the sort of problem I fix daily at work. If the drive is struggling take it easy on it, you don't want to crash it. I can recommend an application called HDTune Pro (it's free) and it'll give you a better idea of how healthy the drive is and if you need to take action right away. That aside, take as long as needed get it fixed when you can, nothing worse than issues on a device you rely on!
Sorry about your HDD. If you have stuff to recover off it I'd leave it be until you can clone it to another disk before it completely stops reading. A month can be long time without a PC though (luckily you have RS mobile!) so maybe buying an SSD, cloning the old disk to it and then replacing the rest of the gear once you have it might work. Feel free to reach out if you need a hand.
We build a brand new PC for a new collegue, and the HDD ran at 100% all the time. Swapped it for an SSD and now it runs as smooth as butter. Hope to fix your pc soon and continue with the awesome videos ☺️
7 years is a long ass time for a PC to handle what you're doing with it 😂 May your path of upgrade be clear of compatibility and RMA issues 👍
I recently upgraded my rig. I shall light your path into valhalla using the lightiing system it has and I cannot yet figure out how to alter 😂

Take as much time as you need, Josh, your videos are always great quality, if you can't do some for a while, I'm fairly sure we'll survive :) Glad to see that our (and your Twitch subs') money will actually allow you to get a hopefully decent PC. It was kind of time to change the 7 year old, let the old girl rest :)
well, you need to compensate for your absence by telling us once and for all what your astrological sign is :)) How about Apollo? I looked at clouds from both sides now :))
