Update - 01/11/2021

Happy Día de todos los Santos! I know it was Halloween yesterday but we don't really celebrate it here in Spain, what we do celebrate is today, the Day of all saints. People go to the cemeteries and spend the day with their dead relatives, cleaning the tombstones, having lunch, etc. It's like a picnic at the cemetery, doesn't get more Goth than that! So what did you guys do for Halloween, did you have a nice time? How many Squid game customs did you see? :D

As you guys know, I've been completely focused on finishing the gear section for Across a Thousand Dead Worlds. I finished all the rules regarding how to obtain it, and the lists of basic gear, and handed it over to Phlvx so he can work on the playtesting layout. I want to get that in your hands ASAP, because we really need to balance both damage values and gear costs. I will meanwhile continue developing the rest of the gear section, which is missing the rare gear (more advanced weaponry, implants, drones, things like that) that you might have access to if you're lucky (or if you spend the necessary cash in bribes), and the experimental gear, which is ATDW's equivalent of magic artifacts.

I've also been thinking a bit more about what comes next; we already know it should be the fantasy game (Empire Undying), but the way I want to handle is first by establishing an SRD for the game engine I'm calling A Thousand Worlds Engine. This is tricky, because it means I must separate the mechanics from the game's flavor, which is particularly complicated when it comes to solo games. I've been thinking about this for months now, and I haven't really done much progress. I need to be able to focus entirely on it. My ultimate goal is to have an online document available to anyone who wants to use the engine to make their own stuff. We'll see!

So this week I'll be focusing on the rest of the gear, and after that I'll see if I finish the GM chapter, especially all the emulation tools. Still lots to do, but we're getting closer to the end!
