Update - 18/10/2021

Hello! How's everyone doing? We lost a few members this week, and I expect we'll lose more as time goes on, so I really appreciate all of you who are staying for the ride, and those who feel must leave, thanks so much for your support either way! You guys are the best!

It's been a weekend of mostly working, since I didn't have much else to do. I could have played something but I was honestly feeling lazy to set anything up. Besides, I really wanted to have the planetside exploration rules for Across a Thousand Dead Worlds done, which I did! I imagine I'll have to iterate on them once we start playtesting them, but for now I'm done and I'm super happy about it. I wasn't sure what to tackle next; I started working on the GM chapter (with the emulation tools and some advice on how to run the game if you're GMing) a couple of weeks ago, but I think it's more urgent that I get a proper list of gear so the playtesting can move on, especially considering right now characters in the playtest only have access to a gun and a knife.

I've also been procrastinating a bit by "working" on my next fantasy game. I'm mostly working on the lore for now, setting up a solid foundation from which the rest will emerge. I designed the currency, worked a bit on the calendar, main deities, things like that. I have a sketch of the map of the world as well, although I'm pretty sure that the initial version of the game will take place in the imperial capital, a vast, ancient city that extends over a whole island, built upon the ruins of an ancient civilization. Oh, and I think I have a name for the game!: Empire Undying. It fits the game's lore perfectly, so for now I'm happy with it. I might change it later on, of course, but I like it and it helps to have a name for it, so I can talk about it.

So that's it for now, things are moving along nicely, and I'm super happy to be getting closer to completing ATDW! As usual, if anyone wants to join the testing, let me know!

Have a great week!
