Happy Sunday, dear reader. Here's a new comic for you, a long promised tale but one that has spent more than three years on the blocks - NEMS part 2. Fans of long waits will be disappointed to hear that part 3 will follow on November 2nd. I posted an annotated rough version of this story back in the day (available here and here) - parts of that script remain but I reworked it from scratch, re-thumbnailing all the artwork, adding 16 new pages and splitting it in two, with a completely new ending. This has been a lot of work to draw, so I hope you enjoy it!
[In my notes, part 2 is called "The Darkest Timeline" and part 3 is called "Hootenanny!" But given that "NEMS" is already a subtitle, that is between you and I.]

This hits me right in the childhood, even though I wasn't even born in 1968. Francie Howerd and Harry Secombe slap bang in the middle of the first page! And is Her Maj talking to Amanda Barrie? Deep appreciation of young Maurice, too. (I cackled.) Well done Esther for not hitting that, tbh.
It’s a French singer the Queen is talking to - I can’t remember her name off hand.
Also, really interesting to go back and compare this to the roughs that you posted a while back - quite a difference in the pacing!
Excellent stuff - was chuckling heartily enough to spook the cat. I almost feel sorry for the non-Brits who may need to have some of the throwaway references explained. (one very minor note - assuming that you're talking about the future celebrity fox companion Mr Derek on p.15, it's "Fowlds" and not "Fowles")

Destroy History (and I know this will slow your heartbeat down) should be filed with Giant Days. It has tie-ins to multiple issues of Giant Days (the 2017 Holiday Special, issue 52).
What is the future, if not what we could have won? Food for thought. Possibly some kind of tinned beef arrangement.
