Washing My Dev Sins Away
Hey! I have some relatively good news I believe.
First of all, I've done a complete clean-up of the project this week, there were a lot of plugins' folders thrown around with code that didn't seem like it belonged anywhere. I've also deleted all the old chibi sprites and made a script that allowed me to make sure older sprites I'm deleting aren't used anymore thorough the game, so that's pretty good.
My main motivation for this time consuming process was that I wanted to have all my scripts, all my art and so on in a much more organized layout that allows me to keep track of things better and to hopefully deal with these race conditions once and for all.
Because I was so busy doing this I didn't get the time to plan some quick scenes and look over the suggestions I've received to create a poll (I didn't forget), but now I should be able to do that next so with the next update I can actually add in some art!
Regarding the actual next update well I'd like to update the build next Friday with any bugfixes and whatever and if lucky with some new art, but it remains to be seen. This month was spent more on improving this on the backend side of things.
The other good news is that maybe there's a chance to enter Early Access, but it depends on a lot of luck. Early Access has helped other games like Third Crisis progress due to extra funding that Patreon couldn't provide, because I'd like the content I need to work on next (the Night Club) to offer the best the game has to offer overall and it's why I've been planning on the Steam release.
So I'm waiting now for a good time to send my build for a review to Steam and if lucky things can look up for us as well.
Thank you and I hope you'll enjoy the weekend that's coming!
