Happy Halloween!

Hey! This status update will serve as both the status update for Monday and also for Friday. The reason being, on Monday I was working hard to release the build with this month's content but after some playtesting I noticed some glaring issues and those glaring issues took me until yesterday to work on to at least a satisfactory degree.

For example, doing cutscenes in Unity isn't very intuitive. If you pause the cutscene at second 4 then resume it even 5 microseconds later, the cutscene might get paused again although it wasn't supposed to. Likewise, if you resume a cutscene from second 30, all the events between second 4 and 30 will trigger so that led to some issues and I had to do something I didn't want to do, which was to modify timeline code made by Unity devs because even though the issue was reported all the way back to 2020 and a dev said they should maybe implement a solution, even today it's still there.

Otherwise, there were some other problems I had to take care of and my automatic build script for all platforms doesn't seem to work very well on Unity 6 so I have to do the builds manually right now.

With that said, now that all the builds for this month have been uploaded to their itch links, with the help of anyone who's kind enough to file a bug report ingame/wherever, I'll focus on fixing the automatic build script so I can release hotfixes for all platforms with less manual effort from my side.

At the same time, working on new content that'll happen at the ship and feature every crewmate individually. I was wondering if people would also like some Morris content (which is more difficult), but it's probably better to focus right now on finishing the village ending cutscene then developing these new sequences in the new events that'll take place on the ship.

(by the way I wanted to include more content in this month's release, a "physical challenge" stamp-gathering opportunity in the bar, but I was worried that things are a bit fragile given the big update to Unity 6 which will hopefully make its benefits evident with time)

Now that's all I could say for this week. Thank you all for your support and those of you who have wishlisted the game on Steam (it really helps) and if there's halloween where you live I wish you a happy halloween :)
