Helboy arm - First test

I finally have a working prototype.

This has been a ton of work — constant testing, re-printing, adjusting, and refining. I’ve basically been at it 24/7 pushing to get everything just right. Seeing it come together like this makes all of it worth it.

Buuuut there are still a few final tweaks and improvements I want to make to simplify the usability and make everything feel easier to use. Once those are done, it’ll be ready for release. I thank you all for your patience this is a huuuge project, but i can see a finish line finally :D

Do you think you can use the base design and utilize it in a Mon Calamari hand?

M
MysteryMakers · May 30, 2026

This is why I have been a member for years. You always test it out and tweak when needed. Then give it to your members knowing it will work and we will be more than just satisfied. You are a legend. Awesome work!

How strong is the grip? Can you pick up objects?

M
MysteryMakers · April 20, 2026

i have noticed it depends allot on the material, with smooth PLA - empty bottles, cans and such you can, but if i print the fingertips in tpu or add some material that will generate more friction i think you can even pick larger things up, - keep in mind you are not picking them up with finger closing strength, you just need a good material to generate enough friction so the item you are picking up is not sliding out of your "hand" . but i will play more with this, ofcourse there will be limits :)

I can see making it in Tpu to cut down clanking and weight. But amazing work

M
MysteryMakers · April 20, 2026

that oooor i have notice if we add some other material to fingertips the fricdtion will also allow to grip lots of objects and stuff :D
