(new download) HAND OF DOOM - Hellboy

FINALLY… it’s done. And yes — you can print it now !!! :)

I’ve reworked this thing like crazy. When you open the files, it might look simple with only a few parts — but that’s exactly the point. The whole design went through heavy optimization. I started with 3x more parts, and pushed it down to make it cleaner, easier, and way more practical to build.

I’ve included a video + PDF guide to get you started, which should be enough to jump in. I’m already printing another one, and once that’s done I’ll be dropping more videos with extra tips and details.

Every finger is fully movable individually. There are finger extenders inside to help with reach, plus an arm holder to support the full arm.

So yeah… dive into the folder, check everything out, and fire up your printers :)

LET’S PRINT THE HAND OF DOOOOM 🔥

What type of material would you recommend to print the Hand Of Doom in?

Rae Abrey · September 2, 2026

Looking to join but I am unsure if this file is still available in the makers bundle? thank you!

M
MysteryMakers · September 2, 2026

Yes but let me explain :) It is not available this month as a free download as it was released a long time ago, however when you join the "we are makers" tier you also get 3 mysterymakers coins that you can exchange for old models, and the hand of doom is exactlly 3 coins so you can get it roght away :) then eaxh month you get more coins and the longer you are in more stuff and benefit you get for free :)

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the correct tension springs?

Azean · April 30, 2026

This is so cool! Feel like making one in the style of a Space Marine power fist?

I'm having issues with the fingers not snapping back straight but drooping slightly. The linkage pieces were a little loose so I tightened with UV resin and it helped a little. What printer do you use and what settings changes do people do to make things print tighter? I'd rather have it too right and have to sand some.

M
MysteryMakers · April 29, 2026

i made this with test printing on anycubic cobra s1 - but the tolerances will warry based on filament and printer - there is not not much you can do to change the tolerances in a print alone , the uv resin is a smart move - my thought was always rather looser than tigheter to avoid sanding :D

This is an awesome print! One question I have, the fingers seem very loose and flop down when at rest. Is there something I’ve done wrong?

M
MysteryMakers · April 25, 2026

they should not flop down, if they do make sure part f1 gear and f1 are tighly fit one into another but all the way in , the f1 part against the holder part is what its keeping it "straight up" - so it has to be all the way in - also keep in mind fongers are never fully straight , they are slightly bent -this is the default position

Amazing - assume I can mirror it, wear both fists and wail on someone?

M
MysteryMakers · April 25, 2026

yes you can mirror it :) all the "key" parts are symetrical so it will work when mirrored :)
