Our 26-Year-Old Excavator Is Falling Apart… Literally! 😂🚜
Well… I was following our old excavator up the driveway when I started finding pieces of the track lying on the ground. 😳
I think that was its not-so-subtle way of telling us it was time for another repair!
This little guy is 26 years old, and if you've been around Homegrown Passion for a while, you know we've had a few adventures with him already — a track coming off down by the creek, a blown cylinder, and now this.
So today I'm taking you along while we put on brand-new tracks, give the old undercarriage a little makeover, and I even learned something I honestly thought was pretty cool: the tracks are tightened with a grease-filled cylinder! Who thought of that?! 😂
It's definitely not my usual greenhouse or gardening video, but this is the other side of farm life that you don't always get to see. There is ALWAYS something that needs planted, picked, watered… or repaired.
So grab your coffee and come hang out with me while we try to keep this old Bobcat going for another 26 years. ☕🚜❤️
And yes… I may have gotten a little carried away with the shiny black paint. 😉
