Launch, engage, and keep going
You did it!
You had the idea. Built the page. Designed your tiers. Made a plan to spread the word.
Now, it’s time to hit that publish button.
Take a moment to celebrate!
But here’s the exciting part: This isn’t the finish line. It’s the start.
Show up during launch week
The first few days of your launch are exciting and important. This is where you turn all of your planning into reality:
Welcome every new member
Reply to comments from your community
Celebrate milestones like new members and posts
Keep posting (both public and paid)
Keep repeating your call to action to drive more fans to your Patreon
You don’t need to reinvent anything here. Just bring your strategy to life!
Showing up consistently builds engagement. And engagement builds community.
Make the first few weeks special
Launching a Patreon is a special moment. People who join early are often excited to be part of something new. Lean into the energy.
Consider creating a few moments that make the first weeks feel special:
Host a welcome livestream or hangout
Share a small piece of bonus media or surprise post
Run a poll or quick survey to engage your community
Use Quips* and the feed to stay active and visible
Your actions don’t need to be huge productions. They’re intentional moments that reinforce the feeling that people joined at the right time and they can draw others in too.

Growth is steady
As you’re showing up and creating these intentional moments, remember: growth takes time.
It’s normal if day one isn’t a flood of members joining. Most Patreons grow steadily: one person joining, then another, then a few more.
Stay consistent with your posts. Keep engaging with your members. Continue sharing your work.
And make adjustments as you learn from your audience.
Be open to feedback
Speaking of your audience, your early members are a fantastic source of insight. Pay attention to what’s happening in your community.
Which posts spark conversation?
What gets the most interaction?
What do people seem excited about?
Patreon Insights can also help you spot patterns in engagement, as can member surveys for current members and those who are leaving membership.
Use all of this information to guide your next steps. Test new ideas. Try small improvements. Refine your messaging.
The goal is simple: learn what works and improve as you go.
Keep going — and remember you’re not alone
And that brings us to the most important thing you can do: keep going.
