phone call animations override
this mod replaces the animations for phone calls, adding four new poses, with different ones for each gender.
upd. june 4, 2025: now works with the new add-on that lets you change animation type for each sim individually.
age groups: teenagers to elders.
included poses:
sitting on dining or desk chairs
sitting on sofas or living chairs
animations on all other surfaces will remain as they are.
all transitions are smooth! you might notice slight clipping at the start or end of the animations, but it shouldn't affect gameplay.
also you should know:
if your sim is pregnant, the animation might not look good with the belly. unfortunately, i don’t know how to fix it in this mod, but i hope it won’t bother you too much.
i did not modify the animation for "video calls".
if you have the "cupid's heart" expansion pack, the "flirt" action on the phone will also use the new poses.
p.s. i made this override as an addition to my previous mod, "extended phone calls", after my sims started calling everyone 24/7, i thought they should do it in a cuter way! :)

i love your mods but every time i downloads your mod it always says its a conflicted mod
I recommend trying to check it it with the 'better exceptions' mod, there is an option in the menu called "check conflicts" and you will see what mods in your folder are not compatible with my mod. i hope it helps!
hi! can you help me figure out how to fix my problem with this animation? everytime i use it, theres no phone showing in my hand huhuu what could be the problem?
i don’t think this mod could have caused that issue. it’s most likely either a game bug or another phone-related mod. i hope you can figure it out! maybe try testing the interaction without my mod or with no mods at all

Would you ever consider being able to choose which animation you would like your sims to use? For example, having a female sim use the male sim animation. It would be really nice to make my masculine females and feminine males to sit in a way that makes sense. If it's too much to do I completely understand! Thank you for even making these overrides in the first place they are very well done!

do we need to have the extended call mod for it to work. I put it in my game but nothing changed when sim is on the phone hopefully I did it right.
you don’t need the extended phone calls mod for this to work. just to check — was your sim sitting on a chair or couch when using the phone? the custom animation only plays when they’re seated. if they’re standing, the default animation will play instead. also, i'd recommend clearing your game cache — it can sometimes affect how mods show up
love it but i wish i could make my female sims have the male animation and viceversa, i like my sims a little fruity in mannerism

Please make a mod for additional sleep animations. Because this is sorely lacking. I want the Sims to uncover themselves during sleep. And not to be completely covered with a blanket. In general, they should be interesting and alive. Try it!

Hey I really love your overrides and they make my game playable, I have a request I believe you should make a sitting override or more sitting watching tv ones. of course if you don't wanna it fine I was just asking. Thank you for hearing me out.
thank you so much! i've tried making a sitting override before, but unfortunately, modding it properly is really complicated. it would either mean reworking hundreds of animations for every action sims can do while sitting or using advanced tools i’m not familiar with. i’d love to make something like this someday since it would improve the game a lot, but right now, i don’t think i’d be able to do it :(
Love this mod the only problem I am facing is that at the end of the call it reset my sims as if I used reset object and last exceptions flags it as an animation error Just tought I would let you know ❤️❤️❤️
