extended phone calls
this mod adds over 500 notifications and 30 buffs to phone calls based on sims' relationships and age.
base game compatible

- sims can now call their best friends at any time of night;
- tuning adjustments & fixes.

you call your sibling:
you call your wife/husband:
you call your girlfriend/boyfriend:
you call your parents:
there's a small chance of having an unpleasant conversation. this chance increases if you're talking to someone with traits like mean, hotheaded, or evil.
notifications are also distributed by age. children will receive unique notifications, and other sims will get specific notifications when calling children. there are also specific teenage notifications about admissions.
unique flirt notifications are also available if you own the "cupid's heart" expansion pack. through the "flirt" action on the phone, you can flirt with people outside of a relationship and receive new notifications and buffs.
there's a chance the person will tell you they don't want anything serious. this chance increases if the character has the noncommittal trait.
at night, long calls are possible only with partners and best friends. from 00:00 to 06:00, specific late-night notifications apply, with unique ones for parents and grandparents.
changed phone interactions include: "chat with...", "video call...", "chatty a family call with...", "flirt with..."
changes to the relationship panel interactions are: "chat", "chatty a family call", "flirt".
notifications and buffs are also added to incoming calls.
the mod will conflict with other mods that change calls in the game. for example, such as scumbumbo's 'call anytime' or zero's 'more interesting phone calls'.
it is compatible with mods that add custom incoming calls or texts, such as 'connected sims' by adeepindigo, 'randomtexts' by kuttoe, 'more send text variety' by tyjokr, and simularity's 'more outcomes to advice phone calls'. it is also compatible with 'phone call overhaul' by lotharihoe, 'call and visit tweak' by bienchen, 'call me, maybe' by midnitetech and "incoming phone calls and texts by relationship level" by lorea.

Hi! I have an older version of The Sims 4 (May 2026 update), and I noticed that the current version of Extended Phone Calls was updated for the July patch. Is it normal? am I right that they both should be in the mod folder? thank you in advance, dear
yes, that’s normal! the translation file is meant to override the english text strings from my mod, so better exceptions may detect it as a conflict. just make sure the translation has priority in your mods folder. it can be in the same folder as my mod, or my mod can be in a subfolder while the translation is placed directly in the mods folder)

hey! i downloaded the mod a few days ago and i don't know why it doesn't appear in my game! like it doesn't mess with the game or anything, the options just dont appear no matter what i do. i do have the XML injector and the file is not deep in files, i dont know what to do anymore. im gonna try and download the Spanish version and if it doesn't work then i just give up 😭
